    My parents are blessed to have you, Mr. B. That ditch is incredibly steep - not for the faint of heart.

    This is the video I needed to see! How it works on a hill and cutting overgrown grass. Every spring the grass grows here like crazy and the first cut of the season is always a pain.😂

    What a beast! I’m sitting here searching the internet on how to mow on a slope and I find this absolute gem. We just bought the Ryobi 40v 21 inch 3-1 and it keeps cutting off on me but I was scared to go up down the slope I was trying to attack it from the side but tomorrow I can go up down confidently knowing I just need to man up! Awesome content man Thanks!

    We are blessed to have Mr. B and his magical Ryobi equipment! He does a fantastic job. It is amazing what battery power is able to do! Just please tell me that the mower has an automatic off if you fall or something! Especially when mowing that darn ditch.....

    • @TheBitsonEffect
      @TheBitsonEffect  2 года назад

      🤣 Yes, the mower has an auto off as soon as my hand leaves the handle, or if the mower is tipped vertical too much.

    My God, what's the speed limit on that street?🤣🤣🤣
    I love my ryobi products, looking at getting the all wheel drive mower next, my cross blade not even a year old yet. Love the clean up and storage.
    Jk on the speed limit.. lol

      The AWD definitely would have helped in this project. I want the AWD just because there is NO mulch plug!

    Oh thats how you put that brush cutter on? :-O LOL Man I spent a few minutes gave up, speedfeed line which you might consider that as well man. You will LOVE the results if you haven't done so yet. Use the red screw in the kit and be sure you set the inner part of the speedfeed to show "L". Now seeing that Ryobi sprayer, I gotta have one now wow

    • @TheBitsonEffect
      @TheBitsonEffect  2 года назад +1

      I had to read the manual a couple times before I did it on camera. 😂
      Thanks for the info on the speedfeed head. I’ve been thinking about making the switch.
      Once you go battery on the sprayer, you will NEVER want to go back to pump style. I’ll be doing a review on it soon.

      @@TheBitsonEffect My guy broski, you'll ish bricks in happiness once you do the speed feed and yea man I literally found my Ryobi head and put it on there and now it's a brush head thanks for that portion of the video because I gave up anyways lol. No finagling around with the speedfeed too, it's a straight forward swap. Unscrew old, screw new. Load up. Now for ME I took my guard off. I simply find it in my way more than I need it lol. I know I want that Ryobi sprayer but imma wait on your review. Subscribe and bell my channel man let's connect so I can make another video lol.

      I took my guard off right after this job was complete. I figured I would give it another try, but couldn't do it. Gotta have it off! It just looks better without a guard on too. And you know, equipment needs to look good to work good! 🤣👊🏼 I'll give you a sub. Get some more videos out!

    Hey brother Mike,
    The mower is very impressive!
    How long does the battery last in this application? I was wondering if the weed eater would be easier?
    The job looks amazing!

    • @TheBitsonEffect
      @TheBitsonEffect  2 года назад +2

      In this application with the overgrown grass and hill, about 30 minutes. The string trimmer would definitely been easier on the hill part.
      I wanted to use the mower as long as I could to show people how strong it was. I’ve gotten some comments that I haven’t really showed the mower cutting overgrown grass that long. Well, there they go!

    Great video. How has the deck and the rest of the undercarriage handle with heavy use?

    • @TheBitsonEffect
      @TheBitsonEffect  Год назад +1

      No problems with the deck and undercarriage. I did blow the motor at the end of the season. My own fault, I kept pushing the mower to extreme limits to see the breaking point.
      I saw your 1st video on the 30”-nice! I have my eye on it, but I’m also thinking of one of the new riders or zero turns.

    Would it have been easier (and possibly faster) to mow parallel to the road all the way up the inclines than going up and down so many times? I've got the newer AWD model (but without hills like yours), and the battery consumption with AWD is significantly faster, so I'm guessing that the additional stress on your rear wheel drive would do the same. Plus getting that very heavy mower repeatedly up the hill so many times must be harder on the person doing the mowing, as opposed to just keeping the mower straight when running along the incline.

    • @TheBitsonEffect
      @TheBitsonEffect  Год назад

      The hill on that ditch is pretty steep (somewhere around 45-50º slope) and I did mow parallel with the road as much as I thought I was able. It got difficult to walk parallel that is why I switched to vertical. I appreciate the comment, Richard.

    Hey Mike,
    What was it you kept hitting with your weed eater with the dust puffing up? Round Up used?

    • @TheBitsonEffect
      @TheBitsonEffect  2 года назад +1

      It kept hitting the side of the hill and digging in. Regular string would have been better. I wasn’t a big fan of that style of head, I prefer regular string.
      No Round Up. I’ll be showing what it was next week. And it’s not exactly what some people might think!
