- Life is not meant to be an organised event where everything goes like clockwork, and we can expect to achieve 100% success.
The truth is we are unable to control our life. Life is messy. This is the nature of life. Do not aim for the unachievable.
We could have 70% of getting it right and we should accept, allow and embrace these 30% of imperfections. We can always learn and grow from these painful experiences.
Ajahn Brahm encourages us to open the door of our heart to the nature of life as it is. He said, "Do not disturb the nature of life and life would not disturb you."
Thank you so much, Ajahn Brahm.
well Ajahn Brahm, im glad i can at least listen to you on these youtube videos. im kid of young so i wont be able to visit you in WA for quite some time so please live long so i can see you one day!. (Yes i know that is very selfish and unbuddhist of me.)
I believe I have seen them all, some multiple times.. At first I avoided other teachers than Brahmavamso, eventually going back to listen to all the different teachers on the channel. There are actually quite a few and I enjoy them very much and am happy now to see when a new video is another speaker. I've also seen dhammatube but I haven't gotten into watching more than 1 or 2 so far, but hope to in the future! I love physics though so Brahm was inspiring and the first I ever listened to.
I have watched this time and again, and the wisdom within the stories really helped me get thru difficulties
Thank you and I do agree. Alan Watts isn't someone I would model my life after. However, Ajahn brahm, on the other hand, has opened my mind to many possibilities. Great leader in thought and action.
Thank you for your compassionate reply.
I sincerely give my thanks to you. Thank you.
Exactly what I needed to hear today, thank you!
Love this guy. Gonna stay at his monastery in July :)
How was it?
Actually the Muslims in Indonesia there recently banned Lady Gaga for her behavior and western ways , I'm happy that they didn't give Ajahn Brahm any guff, thanks for the great talk.
Happy new year! Ajan Brahm and other theras ! It's our new year season.Ajan brahm write more books based on u r experiences plz
This is so delightful yet refreshing🙈
I had been watching both Yuttadhammo's and Ajahn Brahm's talk. I don't have any preferences between the two. However, I noticed the difference based on the delivery of their talks. Ajahn Brahm's talks are more relaxing and down to Earth. Yuttadhammo's talks are more book based and serious. Even with those differences, I like their talks. It is very educational and reflective,
thank u Ajan Brahm I think u r the one who thinks as I think
Thank You!!
I watch his talk video every day, and it actually fill my soul. Thanks very much!
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Brilliant. Thank you
🙏🙏🙏
Wish I could come :)
Sadu! Sadu! Sadu! Sadu!
If you want, just, there to be no sound, at least not when you're meditating or when you want to go to sleep you're gonna be so angry at life. So remember don't disturb the sound, and then the sound doesn't disturb you. Don't disturb the nature of life, the life won't disturb you.
lucky! my 37th birthday is in july, would be a great place to spend it...maybe 40th? have a great time with yourself!
I'd like to be able to down load all his talks to my ipod? If you do know how, please show me. Thank-you.
i like yuttadammo to but sometimes he seems a little too dramatic or something i cant explain....maybe still young and i don't know. i like the way Ajahn Brahm talks in a down to earth way. i do like yuttadammo though.
in an effort to decrease attachment you should check out the dhammatube channel to learn from many other monks as well :P, this way something won't be missing. Admittedly I have seen pretty much every video on this channel myself LOL... but these days I come back every once in a while.
To people who don´t have all day: at 10:50 he gets to the point :D
Thanks. I like his talks but I don't always have time to listen to it all.
i'm quite ignorant when it comes to computer stuffs. where and how to look for "keepvid"?
i went to keepvid site and was asked to buy a license after down load the program. is this the right web site?
What do you mean? After 3 weeks of what, listening to these talks?
Would someone kindly help me to rewrite what I’ve been dictated from the teacher?
44:16 ~
If you want just to set to be no sound, at least not when you’re meditating, at when you, when you want to go to sleep, you’re going to be so angry at life. So, well, you don’t disturb the sound. And then the sound doesn’t disturb you. Don’t disturb the nature of life, and life won’t disturb you.
Buddhist Monks Rule. Thank You.
:)
enter the word "keepvid" in google search, and go to the first result that come up.
the reason i ask you to do this instead of just writing the internet address of "keepvid" is because youtube wont allow people to write website addresses in the comments.
Alan Watts: The real meaning of a monk. He is not trying to keep up with the Joneses. And to be a master, he must get to the point where he is not trying to be a master.
Ajahn Brahm is a master, or maybe not?
Just aim for seven percentage at that will more relaxing life.
@caessarion ya, me too.
Enjoy
the wish to change your life by not being famous and widely photographed isnt something that most people could relate to...
