However, his books were the equivalent of somebody's internet history being found by their sister who later published it as something that was far worse than it actually was .
I am an atheist myself who rejects all supernatural entities including God. But I am not a fan of existentialism. Our genes have a strong influence on who we are. They can influence our talents, physical features, predispositions to various mental and physical problems etc. Our genes are, in some sense, an "essence" which predates our birth. Also parenting and other factors have a huge influence on who we are. In addition to that, I am not convinced that we have free will. Sure most of us, including myself, have the illusion of free will. But how do you reconcile a free will with our understanding of matter? Congratulations on being sober for three years. I am happy for you. I have some habits or behaviors which I am not proud of. I hope I can get rid of it sometime.
Faith means believe without seeing or without evidence. You will find no evidence of God here, it's like a chicken and egg, what came first? it's a circle of evidence, the more you find an evidence, the more confused you are. Matthew: 11:28-3 Come unto me all you are weary and burdened, and i will give you rest. Jeremiah 29:13 " If you seek me with all your heart you will find me"
When you say believe without evidence what you are actually doing is training your mind to be deluded and being proud of it. Religion cannot convince people on the basis of evidence and reason. So unsurprisingly it tries to legitimize evidence-free beliefs. Btw, eggs came first, before chicken. The species from which chicken (and other birds) evolved from, also laid eggs and hence eggs came first before chicken or any other extant species of birds. In case you don't accept evolution, its because you believe in evidence-free beliefs instead of evidence based science.

How poor is the life of unbelievers, because their life will end after their death, they find happiness on the things here on earth, because most of them are unhappy and depressed, and the only thing that make them happy is to find an interesting thing. they wandered the earth hoping to find some magic things that can help them to have a life. Many people acknowledge scientist, because they look like a genius, but in reality they are fools, followed by blind people. After their death, when you meet God face to face, when everything is too late. and the judgment is upon them, they will perish forever.
