Philip told Charles that he had to make a decision regarding Diana. Either he should marry her or cut the young woman loose. Charles decided that since he could not marry the already married Camilla, whom he was in love with, Diana was as good as any other probable alternative choice. It was good advice.
I don't see him being narcissistic. He was just raised in a family of wealth and privilege which sometimes can be an obstacle in making life decisions. 😮
William didn't start this war with Harry (& MM). I don't believe Diana would expect him to reconcile with a brother who's betrayed him and his family. Its one thing to not like being second but its another to go after your own brother because he was born first. Mother Nature does its own thing and we all have to accept that...
