    One thing, think about it. It does make sense it wanted to lift with shorter blade. There is less force pushing bow down. That same (less) force made you quicker.
    But other then that, really nothing to say. Your getting there! I might even consider this year to swap back to that stock motor after i tested current setup. A solid 80 is in my opinion fast enough to play around with and also has most likely more runtime...
    Great job 👍

      I'm really liking the 8s setup and other than the weight of this particular motor, it seems to run more efficiently that 6s.
      I need to trial a tapered Rudder for even less drag but I will say this rudder provides excellent water flow!

      @ModifiedRC0877 I could run more efficient on 8s since its closer to its (intended) kv range/rpm. That's something i never tested since i had no 8s packs in the beginning but runtime on stock setup and 6s was considerably better but slow with that 1650, so i went for a 2000kv. Later on the 8s i went 1650 again but with bigger motor and never tested stock motor for that matter. Also figured the bit off extra weight could be beneficial for speedruns...
      Rudder my guess is thickness is more important than width. Your rudder works good, i have stock rudder with 2nd pickup at hinge point rudder (old setup) which also works very good. Also that 2nd has no drag in my theory.
      Nice thing is also your not at the end, there is still some left.
      I'm kind off proud how fast you figured out how to set it up and how to use the trims. Cant wait to see were you end up speed wise. Like i said, personally think 80+ is good enough for bashing...

      Thank you sir! Will be interesting to see how the electronics hold up in summer heat here. I used to live in MN so I know your pain lol 🥶

    Very nice runs. Thanks for posting. Are you in Florida? I am in Tallahassee. Also working on a Dom. Have not tried 8s yet. Looks like I will have to now! Thanks again!

      @@dougjanecek8812 Yes, SW Florida. This is my first 8s setup. I originally ordered it with a 6s motor but I wanted to verify the claimed 80+ mph on stock equipment. The claim is pretty exaggerated.

    Fresh batteries easy 80 your adjustments were perfect.

    Getting quick! How was the speed before the rudder change? If it was in the mid 70’s, just might be getting light due to the speed gain and may do that with the other rudder as well. Have you tried moving the lipos forward a bit?

    • @ModifiedRC0877
      @ModifiedRC0877  13 дней назад

      Yes, 73 was the average safe speed. I did see 75 but like the 82 pass, it wasn’t stable. I don’t move the batteries because it’s not as measurable as a mechanical adjustment and you have to open and retape everything.

    Put a piece of radio box tape on the bottom of the rudder and let it extend back about 1 in then start trimming away as needed. This will help keep your boat down. When you start trimming the tape it will allow the boat to start lifting a little bit at a time this is kind of like adding weight but instead of weight you're putting a little drag on it kind of like you cut one inch off of your rudder that was drag

    Nice ! Great passes. So it's 1650KV still ? Awesome to see how the water pick up removal to a rudder pick up and cut down of rudder has enabled you to hit 82 and high 70's. Gives me hope on achieving the same. Great post.
