TFL Genesis running 1716 ABC props breaks 90’s. Low battery from the dynamite gps may be the reason for the difference but Skyrc registered 91!

Awesome setup and results, there. I saw how things turned out with that high rake prop and almost ordered one myself to see how it runs. I watched Ironclad RC's video on 'props 101' and learned that those high lift props are for cats and hydros. You can run them on monos, but they have to be tuned to keep the rear in the water. There's no stinger to adjust on this boat, so we're kinda stuck with the 'wide thrust cone' props. I like the 4519, but I'm thinking a 40mm 3 blade at 1.9 pitch would be more blade area = faster

@@scaleworksRC I’d reinforce the hull if you’re going to keep it going at that speed. After my video I’ve seen a few other ls do the same.

@@scaleworksRC an easy cheaper route would be to vinyl wrap the outside. As mentioned, I’ve crashed my UL 19 more times than I can count, including into a cement wall three times and the wrap really saved my butt. You could also do a carbon fiber inlay. I think it’s easier than working with fiberglass

Well I know where 3 of my boats are, 12’ft down in lake Rooty, don’t even want to know how muck of my money is at the bottom. This is the price we pay to go faster. @@IRONCLADRC It had a pool noodle in front. Better than the stock foam it came with but I don’t expect the top of the hull to rip apart like that. You can see the Noodle float away 😢
Next time swim for... 🐢🐊 If you are like me you can not just walk away! Get a deep sea fishing pole and 50lb test line, make a grappling hook and spend hours a day dragging the lake for it. I have twice done it with drones. One time it took 26 days but the next time was only 4 days 😭 Sounds crazy but its possible... I have the Tylosaurus UDI022 on 6s... risky but fun while it lasts. Sorry to see that happen🤦♂️

@@RDM3DLAB Thanks for the Sub and kind words! I definitely won’t be buying anymore plastic hulls. I’ve crashed my UL’s several times and always been repairable. I had plans for that ESC too! Trying to squeeze in content when I can.

Love that you are running that esc, I find the esc is always the let down. Except I run in salt so I have many other issues from that. I am wondering if your 4519 was the AliExpress one ,if so my experience is they run like a 1.6 pitch in an octura roughly.

@@jamesatkinson7517 castle mamba monster. It doesn’t come with the cooking plate. It’s a cheaper alternative to the Hydra models.

I like that you did the esc’s with the original scoops I think the esc’s need more water than the motors plus they are more expensive than motors anyway. I run in salt water as well and man it costs so many steering servos and bearings in motors I only run waterproof esc’s but I add more sealing as well.

I lived in south Florida for four years and those pictures are beautiful, but when you are there, 95 degrees and 80 percent humidity is not comfortable in the least for 10 months of the year. Most of the freshwater ponds also had gators and you had to be careful. Right before I moved, a retired women was eaten by a big gator walking her dog next to the water!
@@parker1ray Definitely need to always be alert and yes it’s very warm in the summers. Amazing what you get used to though.
Really nice spot to run it. Great flip and great speed for that short run. Those 3 blades are so quiet I can’t use them on my riggers I get too much tail lift.

That’s a good looking boat my friend, beautiful spot you have to run, I got lucky, the office park lake I run on installed anti geese/duck lights-keeps them up at night so they don’t stay. It’s always good when they land upright, they always land, upright is better 🤣👍👍👍

How much did you get this boat for?
@@jackhammond986 I took a gamble and purchased from Alexi. I think I paid $700 for an ARTR. I’d get it from OSE if you’re thinking of buying. I’m considering selling mine in a couple of months if you’re interested. I’ll be making more improvements in cooling and hull strength first.

I’m a tech at a local hobby store and someone bought a used UL-19 from the store on consignment……it was modified with a 200 amp esc and bigger motor…anyway …this RC boat was the very first boat this buyer had ever owned….i had to do a couple things to it and he wanted me to test it…I ran it at a local lake close to my house on 6s (capable of 8s) …it’s FAST to say the least…I’m sure it hit 65 mph and I didn’t even stay in it long…. I truly hope this new owner can handle it …..plus being 79 years old will be a challenge also. Nice video

Nice boat, I’ve been using jb weld for my motor mounts, stuffing tubes and servo mounts for 20+ years. I’ve never had a single issue even flipping my cats at over 100mph. It’s great. I use the Devcon plastic weld for carbon onto plastic hulls.

Shoutout the Goat VR46 🤙 Have you tossed it in the bathtub and check for leaks? I found the leak in my Popeye was thru the hardware so I just used shoegoo and it sealed it So im probably gonna seal my Cheetah hardware the same way cause Im sure its gonna leak as well. Sometimes its better to not record cause you can enjoy n focus more on the boat. Enjoy your Sunday 🤙🛥️🌴☀️

That would be disappointing considering it’s listed as waterproof and I did rinse out immediately with fresh water and then electronic spray. Prolly grab a mamba quick since I already have a Stump fab cooler in the tool box. Was gonna run this before deciding on a X8s. 🤷🏻♂️
Sweet Boat! I’ve heard of stories where Castle ESC stopped working after brackish water covers the circuit board. Some people say to rinse it off with freshwater and it will start working again. I think B has said this before too.

Hey brudder that prop looks a lot like the 45mm Dr props I’m running too. Bummer about swamping I did that yesterday on my cat. You can use some epoxy to carefully add a ‘nipple’ ring around that cf tube. Or just use a small zip tie. Or use another piece of silicone around first piece like big b does
Its is the same. The 44 I have has to much rake. Yeah, I’ve already got some smaller tubes on the way. These are 8mm! The silicon tubes are being asked a little too much to fit around that size me thinks.

It’s tough to really understand changes with tide and current but it’s in the backyard so I just send it. There’s actually a park lake within 5 min from me but I’m lazy lol. I will prolly start going there for 6s runs and when I get another boat.
