- Hello! This video is part 1 of a series I’m going to do on how I’m building a bog filter (sometimes called wetland filter or veg filter) to add to my filter system on my grow on koi tank.
This first instalment covers the design and materials I am planning on using.
I’ve had loads of inspiration from the excellent @Ozponds channel on RUclips, so if you’re after more info on big filters and various designs, please check out his channel.

Part 2 of this build coming soon… I’ve now built the box, and soon getting ready to get it lined, filled and plumbed in!!
cant wait for part 2. i watched a video last year (ginger fishy hes called). not sure if youve watched any of his videos. worth a watch if you havnt. i think you and ginger fishy are the best on here for diy above ground ponds in the UK. im confident enough from watching you and ginger fishy to start my own very soon. thanx for the content youve done an amazing job. like i said cant wait for part 2 👍🏻

check out my wetland filter build video but bog filters are very different to wetland filters.
