    I'd love a bog filter but with my pond been a raised pond it will be a total pain to build. This video is awesome as always 🙏 👍 󾓪

      There are ways to make a bog filter even for a raised pond. You could make a sumb filter or somthing like my nitrate filter but with a pump in stead of with air lift. A other way is to put in a filterfall and jam it with rocks and plants

    Great video. I would put in a gfi or switch to shut off so you don't have to pull the plug every time.

      Yeah, I kind of had to make due with what I had. The boss man didn't want to invest a lot of money in it so I recycled the old filtration to a bio filter and went for the cheapest possible

    Cool ducks! The bog filter looks nice. I can imagine how tiring it must have been to add all those rocks! Those things are heavy! I was wondering, what are those plastic crates you had at the bottom? will they be strong enough to support the rocks? I am going to start my diy filter soon, I just bought the trash can today 😄

    • @vertigoone-one-722
      @vertigoone-one-722  3 года назад +2

      It wasn't that heavy, 20 kilo per bag, got 600 kg of stones in there. The blue crates will ceep up, it are crates where tomatoos and other sort of vegies come in to the store with. They are quite sturdy. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

    Excellent construction. Question, What are you using as the main outer container that can hold the weight of all of those rocks + the water? Thank You 🙏 Dave in PA USA.

    • @vertigoone-one-722
      @vertigoone-one-722  3 года назад +5

      Hey Dave, first of all thank you for watching! This used to be a filtration container that housed brushes and filter mattings. It is taking the load of rocks and water fine, it is in for almost 2 months now and no problems for the moment. I think that if I would have taken out the white devider it wouldn't work thow... it might push out the sides. I might do a update in a month or sow if you want me to, or a quick in between video...

      @vertigoone-one-722  3 года назад +5

      I think it resembles those new blue containers that you can buy as quarantaine tanks but those don't have the extra decider in the midle of it

      I should do a update on it because I made a mistake on it. Not filtration whise but with the foundation. One moved compared to the other and it created a leak so had to get everything out and poor one big concrete slab to put both filters on it

    How is it working? I copied your idea with the stones and having a 5 inch void and then using lava rock in ibc totes waiting for the caulking to dry for awhile before I fire it up x4 ibc filter into a 5000 gallon pond

Just need to get rid of them but need to wait for some good weather... Not realy been the case in belgium the last year. Need to get in to the pond to get them out

    • @vertigoone-one-722
      @vertigoone-one-722  2 года назад +1

      It's a oase aqua max pump. You could go with a cheaper one like the superfish ones but I'm not sure if they sell Parts seperatly. If like the rotor breakes, I can go in Anny shop that sells those pumps and just ask for replacement Parts. That is what I like oase, they aren't cheap thow

    Why is there soap inside your filter? 3:20

    • @vertigoone-one-722
      @vertigoone-one-722  2 года назад +2

      That is not soap buddy, that was for the first time running the system whitch might have given more bubbles due to the turbulence of the water. Proteins might have been the cause to. No soap was used to install any of it. Thanks for watching! If you have other questions feel free to ask
