Hello everyone this video is discussing my final thoughts on storm connections before it actually drops. I'm not trying to diss the game I'm just talking about the vibe it's been giving off so far. And the improvements they should make. Like characters, reskinning things and repetitive story mode. But I'm also excited about a lot of things in the game as well so watch the vid to find out!

I feel you on the fact that they should've added more characters. 7 years, and we got 8 new characters. And no, new versions of Naruto and Sasuke do not count. Indra and Ashura shouldn't even count really, because they are basically versions of Naruto and Sasuke. It's ridiculous.

In the exclusive story mode, there is no free roaming.
Inojin, Konohamaru, and Shikadai appear, but they are still not playable.
Bro we haven't even seen the full exclusive story mode yet, at most we seen like 15% of it, and inojin, shikadai, komoharu about the komoharu its understandable but bro shikadai and inojin would be a exact copys of there parents yall are honestly just yappin at this point😭☠️

In my case, this is a different story. From a storm fan who started on storm 1 since 2008, i bought this game because as a naruto fan, i want something that reminds me the old ps3 days.
Storm Connections might give me what i ask for but again, it reminds me of the mistake that the storm 4 story mode was (excluding the 3d cutscenes). I'll never understand why they've chosen to use the screenshots (powerpoint stuff). Because they either were on short leash for the budget OR because they were lazy?
Who knows. But as long as the story mode isn't that long (because of college work), it is ok.
As for the roster, they didn't added Toneri in Storm 4 because he wasn't that popular or appreciated by the fans, for Isshiki, it will be announced as DLC because if they added the Kara stuff and Baryon mode, it will come later so be patient.
And for the online, as much as i hate online stuff (never played it) because of how toxic the community is, i'll just ignore that part.
And finally, for the different editions from standard to ultimate, there's also a Sound Ultimate Edition for 115$ where you can use the anime opening songs in the game but it is a Steam Exclusive, a Collector's edition and Premium Collector's edition for 190$. Guess they want to go all out on the pre-orders for the fans. For me, i'm glad that i only bought the standard edition because it would be a robbery.
For my final thoughts, this game will be my final Storm game because knowing the hard situation CC2 is in, i can't in good conscience buy something that looks lazy or rehashed anymore, they're a good studio just like arcsys but THEY NEED to do something else with their formula.
And if Storm 5 comes out, one day, i'll be honest, i won't buy it.
Anyways, whatever you might wait for a sale or buying it for christmas, vote with your wallet and make your choice.

But I am interested in playing the story and checking out the new characters. I also love dlc and how hype it is when they release. Im sure this game will be okay as a branch game. But storm 5 will be exclusively boruto
So you wasted 60 dollars on cheap nostalgia bait? That's so bad, especially because they will likely make some sort of "Storm 5" or full Boruto game in the near future anyways. This game is basically like Naruto storm revolution, just a side game to test new mechanics before they release a full sequal to storm 4.

I'd honestly get this game mainly for the online community, but as you said, this is one of those games that you may play for about a month and it will start slowly decreasing in player base. I didn't go online on storm 4 extensively since back then I wasent interested in it that much but for all I know it might be still well and alive today but I am very hesitant about this game because I really have only one reason to play it which is the online. The older story modes dont interest me, the new story looks cool but allegedly is short so likely wont have a ton of replayability value. Overall, its a tough choice for me, I love naruto, I love the storm games but with how similar it is to storm 4 it almost hurts to spend 60 dollars on it.

They need to do a shinobi striker 2 and do it like a xenoverse 2, when they do it that’s have sense to spend money, but if you have storm 4 and shinobi striker, you have all what you need to play naruto games don’t need to buy another boring gameplay game (it’s not boring cuz it’s bad the fight sistem, it’s very good, but it’s boring cuz after some fights, even if you chance characters, it’s like the same battle every time)

I am a huge Naruto fan and have either played or owned all the Storm games. I loved Storm 4 when it came out but eventually moved on to other games. This feels like they’re trying to pass storm 4 off as a new game. I would really like to see something new instead of what seems to be a slightly improved version of a game that I no longer play.
I put this in a different reply, but I think people are upset, not just because the Connections is basically a big DLC, but because DBZ Fans are getting Tenkaiichi 4.

Two reasons why I won't be buying it:
1. Worhtless Boruto shit
2. Will be seeing online exclusively either Uchihas or worthless Boruto shit
This isn’t really anything new, this is one of the in between games just like Revolution and connections so a lot of the content that’s being released now is simply to add upon what Storm 4 had when it was first out, they gave us two new Otsutskis as a later dlc after the game was out for a while, and now we’re basically getting the revolution of Storm 3 but with Boruto characters and some extras. Price wise it doesn’t really matter, they’re asking full price because they are giving us a history mode based on all the storm games’ story, plus the newly done scenes that look better on next gen, they’re also making a whole new combat system that involves more possibilities to combo which makes the PvP side much more interesting. Overall, it’s your decision on whether or not you’ll buy it, but it’s guaranteed to be better than Storm 4.
History mode looks tedious to go through, i wish there was a survival mode where you fought against every character with light story elements, but so far we only have the team battles with team themes but no reason for fighting, I'll wait for 5, unless story mode is just insanely great

i get what you're saying im going to buy it for the competitive reasons because I like fighting online but they couldve tried harder 7 years and this is all we get...we didn't get those storm 3 support characters we didn't get white fang or fugaku we could've had kinkaku and ginkaku, kid kakashi with his sharingan etc. i could go on and on it's sad honestly
I agree with your opinion in most of the subjects, Naruto Storm Connections it seems like the same as Storm 4 with a very few changes on buttons commands and nothing new at all, it's basically the same game over and over again... but honestly, for me Storm 1 will remain the most Unique one from the series and the closest to the anime itself because of the very dynamic gameplay features, my reasons: Intro of characters before the encounter, unique jutsus that didn't came back to the other Storm games, longer and diverse movesets for almost any character, Awakenings in Storm 1 have also Ultimate Jutsus, Jutsus Clashes and Wall Fighting... and I can go on and on to state it why Storm 1 gameplay was the most unique one from the Storm Series, just try to Imagine Storm 4 gameplay with Storm 1 gameplay features, In my opinion that will be the Perfect Storm game. The First Storm game has the most Unique gameplay features perspective and the particular presentation of the game was so ahead of it's time in my opinion, the only downside of the first Storm game was the very lacking Story Mode Interactions, and from Storm 3 the developers cut and shortned the movesets of characters, that's why I don't agree with their choices. (By the way, my favourite Storm games and I will put them in my personal order will be: 1.Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 1 and Generations. (these have my favourite vibe and charm of the anime itself because of the dynamic gameplay features)
2. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2( for the unique Story and some Unique Boss Battles and let's not forget that Iconic "Calm Before the Storm" OST from the Characters Selection Screen and many more diverse soundtracks)
3. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst (Because of the more well-rounded diverse Story Perspective and very epic Boss Battles and also the soundtrack "Outside Konoha" and others soundtracks as well)
4. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 (mostly because of the unique option to change/switch between your characters team during the fight, this particular option mechanics should've been already in the game from the very first Storm game in my opinion)
5. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution (because of the abused and annoying Counter mechanic) 🤷🏻♂️
The trailers and gameplay haven't moved me. Waiting for a deep deep sale but I'll pick eventually for like $20
There is no free roaming in the new story mode. There are only in-game dialogue, then you select the next mission.
Game will be amazing! Having the Story Mode from Storm 1-4 is great for old ans new Storm fans, a new Story with interesting setting and big gameplay changes with many new stages and new character with long time support with dlc.

I can see what you mean about adding characters but 30 O-O. My problem is how Itachi dont have his tilt attack, or I just haven't figured it out yet. Also on pc, the game keeps going to window screen and removing off fullscreen everytime I get on the game.

I noticed naruto last outfit in shippuden when he dapped sasuke off to his path of eemedeption but do you guys think we gonna get the shinden sasuke outfit ? They shouldve focused more on the teansition to the boruto beeing from the end of the war to the last to the road to boruto all aligning rather then fixing the two points of attention on indra and ashuda and the kara arc which doesnf even have momoshiki awakened from whaf i can tell
Had the game not been full game price i would've been on board buying this bs, but literally theyve re-release storm for 3 times at this point ( including connections) and i wouldve accepted these characters as dlc for storm 4 like they did the last two characters theyve released late af for the game, i understand being a filler for the next game but goddamn full price and extra money for some songs and skins for like an extra 40 to 60 dollars? Demon slayer is a good game, they have wait for the next season to add characters cause they don’t wanna spoil the players, Demon Slayer has a good reason, Storm connections, it has a history mode where you can play the full naruto story from part 1 to the boruto, along with a new story, different Justus cost different amounts of chakra, they changed gameplay, you can combo off grabs and Justus, combos can now be extended without breaking the game, I'd say this game is worth it, after being deprived from storm for so long, I modded storm so many times, kept on one mod pack, it was very fun, added most of the Boruto characters with custom movesets, the gameplay is way better in storm connections just from a glance and if they don't have certain characters i want, i can always mod it until they give the characters i want, everything but cutscenes in Storm connections is better than anything privous storm game, will that stop from calling it out on it's bullshit, No, if the has some bullshit I'm gonna call it out. Now Jujutsu kaisen cursed clash is not worth $60, im still gonna get it, BTW if you don’t wann pay full price, just use Instant Gaming, that's how i got sf6 😂, but for tekken 8 I'm definitely getting the collection edition and connections is a maybe

To each his own. I can understand taking issues with the price but the entire roster has been tweaked a bit. Short story mode means no padding. History is recycled but the first time ever the entire story is in one game.

1.The music tracks we can literally listen on RUclips or Spotify (depending where you live) there is no reason why they need to give us the openings but not the full openings if you don't give us the full openings what the fuck is the point and even buying it I'll listen to that shit for free why does games do this

Patiently awaiting for the Premium Collector's Edition to come in the mail. I rather enjoy the idea of All 4 Ninja Storm Boss Battles on the PS5 Disc. Making it possible to play the best features within the older game's onto the Playstation 6 when such console comes out. Long time fans will have the opportunity to bring this work of art over to Next Gen. (possibly looking better than ever). As for Ninja Storm 5, it will have a clean slate on the data disc with Boruto Tale forsure, since everything done prior can be appreciated on Ninja Storm Connections.
However In the long run supporting your favourite Dev. Teams is a wise decision if you're asking for "Bigger & Better Than Ever"

I agree with you. Ssjbenj I respect your opinion and honesty. I think this is a cash grab for the development of the next storm game to come. However, they had plenty of time to do it since 2016. It’s now 2023 we could have had a lot more characters and more jutsus. Characters needed to be nerfed as well and the online should be better. I will be getting it but I don’t know if I will be paying for the dumb skins, season pass maybe but I could do with out it.

I'm definitely buying it who cares about the campaign it's all about the pvp,cross play,more characters including dlc,auto Chakra so you don't have to spam charge all the time and both health bars reset like what this game gonna last for years

Its insane that every perspective i see on storm connections is that its a glorified DLC. Its like most of these people only played 4 and hoped connections to get 100 more characters because storm 4 had 100+.
This is literally a filler game, and most filler games besides Generations didnt change things gameplay wise. These filler games are used to let the anime catch up(this game was made before the pt1 of the anime ended) and the problem is you *are* being too greedy. The filler games exist to expand into an original story or mode, add a few characters and dip. You want everything in this one game so when storm 5 comes youll be complsining *again* because connections took all of its characters.
Compare generations and revolutions to the main line titles, they always had separate short stories compared to the main games. I didnt see you complain about them. Most of 4s roster came from revolution(edo minato, maskless obito, KCM2 Naruto etc) most of storm 3 cast came from generations, that just added the pts characters back into the roster. If you exclude the filler games youll see that each main title got a 20+ character boost because of the filler games.
Storm connections is basically the template for 5, because all dlc would be main roster and it would either retell the whole part 1 of Boruto or go off where 4 left off, while having *all* of the important characters in game.
From what i heard, everyone got a huge buff(the older characters) and the online is way better. So if you want to keep playing that underwater simulator on 4 online go right a head. But im gonna buy this game.... On sale of course because i aint never bought a full priced game(note that its 60 bucks and not 70) and its just because im broke and not because its not worth it.

I agree with you 100% on this man. People hating on a game that isn't even out yet. Plus it's a whole new game. You can't hate a game until you try it out for yourself. By the way I'm definitely getting the ultimate edition because that's the highest edition my dad or me could buy because I am not buying a collector or premium collector edition for 150$ or more. Ultimate edition is good for me and if I'm lucky I'll also have the pre order bonus.
Saying a short special story mode is crazy. I already know the special story mode is gonna be longer than boruto's tale from storm 4.
In conclusion: I'm getting the ultimate edition with the pre-order bonus.
Between Storm Generation and Revolution, Revolution was the better in-between game. It had something none of the other Storm games had to this day.
On a note about Connections being a glorified DLC. People probably wouldn't be that upset about the game if it didn't re-release like 2 years after Storm 4 under the title: Storm Legacy, which is basically what Connections is. All four games in one, revamped for the current console.
Secondly, this is a personal opinion, I think more people are pissed off about getting this remaster of Storm 4 when DBZ fans are getting Tenkaiichi 4.

game is 2 steps forward 2 steps back theres alot of new mechanics and customization. but we lost inviting friends and endless/spectating its coming later but come on it should be day 1 and Merz and Nanashi not playable is a mistake storm 4 had 12 new characters base and connections got 10 why.
I'd say the game is worth it with the big flaws but its up to the person wouldnt blame anyone for skipping.

Y’all missing the point of this game coming out, at first they were gonna stop at storm 4 but due to popular demand, forms online , the success of boruto in Japan, they decided to give Storm connections as a kind of testing bridge . Meaning if sales go well they will build on this game with updates or make a storm 5 altogether when the boruto amine catches up to the manga.. You can’t really blame them it’s been 7 plus years since storm 4 so in there eyes it’s a gamble . But one thing is forsure if the moneys not talking the naruto franchise will not invest

yes ,storm is one of the best anime games , even if it has its problem still is the best we got. anime games tend to be subpar or just flat out terrible in execution but storms format is pretty fun. @@memecrider3585

I just wonder if they're going to expand on the current story of the series. Including story mode of Naruto the last movie, Chinoike clan arc with sasuke, and Boruto series. Pretty sure they're going to milk this game just like Xenoverse 2 did with the dlc characters(I just wanted Toneri, Adult Konohamaru, and more characters from the Boruto movie; before this game. Even if it's dlc). Now to quote Shikamaru( "Man all of this just sounds like a total drag")

They added ashura and indra they were in 2 episodes bro like? So if they're not in the season pass we're not getting them at all unless there's a season two. Plus, the ultimate edition which is exactly 104$ you get 5 skins, and an accessory pack. Ask yourself is that accessory pack and 5 skins worth paying 44$ more than base price. Not to mention we got a naruto x boruto game with NONE of boruto's peers in the game.
