- In this video we raised a 40' Mainship that burned in a fire. The boat was sunk in 20' of water off Spectacle Island in Boston Harbor. This video highlights the salvage operation, tow, and eventual haul out at Marina Bay in Quincy, MA.
Thank you so much for sharing your work with us, Joe. Just amazing what you guys did.
Great job. Nice to see it done with all the proper equipment, right up to the haul away.
AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING GREAT WATCH THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH i LEARNED A LOT AND ENJOYED THE VIDEO MORE,
Another great video, Joe! Thanks for sharing your work.
Glad you enjoyed it!
can we take a sec to appreciate that sweet stache
thats the real hero here
😂😂
Love the voice overs man! Your channel is awesome
That’ll buff right out. A little paint and some glass and good to go! Lol
Definitely keep the voice over. A vertical pole above the engines with a 360 cam would do wonders. Something with a heavy duty magnet so you can move it when towing. As well as a chest mount for the GoPro.
Can't wait to see what's to come.
It's nice to hear music I never heard before instead of that usual disco trash every one else is plagiarizing. Good job Joe !!
Cheers!! Thanks for watching!
40' yacht forsale, newly renovated. Open-air floor plan. 2 motors recently fired, great access for engine access. We deliver only, all sales final.
🤣
Keep up with the voice overs on videos like this and engage more when it's is a simple tow. Talk to us man. We are people not flies on the wall.😂
Definitely! Thanks for the feedback! Cheers.
Spectacle island… “another settlement needs our help”… anyone, anyone?
Am I right thinking it actually sank due to fire hoses rather than being holed? This happens a lot so perhaps in future videos you could explain this for those who are not so conversant with boats. Good to see all the tail end bits getting it ashore and yes, the voiceover works again for non boaty types in particular.
Yes. More often than not the boats sink due to attempts to put out the fire. It's often too dangerous to get close enough to have dewatering pumps going at the same time.
Good job by all. Are there marker lights placed on boats that sink so no one runs into them? That boat was a little crispy. Stay safe. Thanks for another great video.
🤗🤗🤗🤗🥇
haven't done a video in awhile.. where ya been brother ?
New video coming soon!! Boating in New England slows down alot and I also have a full time job teaching as well.
Yuppp there way better now million times difference
Might consider lowering the music volume a little. Just my 2 cents worth. Mike
Hey Joe, What are your plans on uploading now that the new school year has started and you being a gym teacher do you plan on halting uploads until June 2025?
I plan on uploading as things come in. I'm working this weekend so we'll see what comes in. Also I plan to do some nautical knowledge videos periodically through the winter.
Are u a licensed commercial diver or just open water certified with some endorsements and u do this for the company?
I’m not a commercial “hard hat” diver. Most of us that work for the company are all advanced open water divers. We do anything from prop clears, hull cleanings, object recovery, and light salvage work.
Nice job Joe! Was this all paid for by TowBoatUS or from the boat insurance? Wondering what was the bill - how much?
This type of work is not covered under the TowBoatUS coverage. Typically these are done through insurance or out of pocket by the boat owner. I am just one of the captain's so I don't know specifics on cost of the job.
Name of music plz !!
Some 5200 it'll be good as new....😕
Who is paying for this work? Harbor authorities, insurance company?
Usually insurance companies but it can vary from job to job.
That’s what you get leaving this boat in the water past sept 15
Unless it would be a hazard to navigation why bring it up. Don’t think there’s a 20’ tide change. Maybe some thought to salvage motor’s transmissions etc??
Pollution concerns as well as potential hazard to navigation as the boat breaks up over time. In this case it was in a busy area and posed a hazard to navigation as she sat on the bottom.
@@wickedsailorboston I think you said in the video that it was visible or above level at low tide.
Insurance scam ??
