I'm an experienced rider but I always used a touring helmet. I've gotten a new full face helmet today (first one) and the neck curtain is very tight and pulls my ear and is extremely hard to remove. Putting on isn't too bad when you squeeze the pads but removing is the issue.
Try a balaclava, it helps a lot with the ears when wearing/removing, you can use the straps to press the pads to the sides and guide it past your ears when removing.
I have beed riding with flipup Nolan from the begining. Now I changed to Shoei NXR2 and I have some difficult to take it off becasue it have tight opening. Puting it on and off is not impossible but not as comfortable like with flipup helmet.
Good question, I never really checked but after I saw your comment I tested a few of my helmets, and there shouldn't be free space at the back part of your head above the neck, but it's possible (with some force) to push a finger but not that far in, maybe a third of a finger. Normally they don't measure that area when checking for fitting because if the crown/ top section fits it shouldn't move. Plus the newer helmets tend to have the lower part tapered/narrow a bit.
very quick, very straigh forward, but i still have a question: does the balaclava prevent your ear from folding, i tried a helmet once and it folded my ears, after 30 min it hurts a lot and even when it's not hurt it's still very uncomfortable
Yes the balaclava does help keep the ears from folding but you have make sure the balaclava is not too loose when worn. There may still be a chance of folding but it is very unlikely.
Sure, it's Benkia brand. The material is more like mesh/perforated, and it's very tight when new, gets a little loose after frequent use but still good fit overall.
that crimped down part you are talking about is the part that is folding and crushing my ears, now my ears are red and they hurt. i had a full face helmet years ago but never had this problem. do you have a remedy for this problem?
My suggestion would be to use balaclava, it keeps the ears swept back and close to your head so when you slide the helmet past it, the ears don't get folded. I know how annoying and painful it can be then that happens..
I just bought the Nexx Wed 2 and first time ears hurt. Second time I remove ear pads ( where com system speakers are placed and wear a Balaclava and problem was solved )
It's not too big, plus the smallest available size in the market here is M, they didn't bring in S so I can't try the S to see how the fit is. Anyway, it's not too big.
Just bought a full-face for my gokart, my first one and I find ur vid very helpful...👌🏼👍🏼
Glad it helped you out.. Enjoy your karting!

Technically you will wear a flip-up like an open face helmet with the front piece flipped up so it's not the same as a full face..
Instructions unclear my head is now stuck in the sink... pls help😂
😂 😂 😂 Plumbers are on the way.. Looks like the sink size is not fit for your head, get a larger sink next time and try ya 😁
for proper fitting, do you have any spae between helmet and the back of the neck? i can't find evyone talking about this topic. thanks!

That's how it's done, good job and very clearly explained.
Thank you for the feedback, appreciate it!
Pulling the straps to the side is a great tip. Thanks 👍
Glad it was helpful for you!

Hi can you share what brand is your balaclava? It seems a good fit to head

Yes
My ears hurts when take off full face helmet.
Wear a balaclava, it will keep your ears from getting pinched or folded when you put on/remove the helmet so less chance to get hurt.
That helmet is too big for you
