House be like "Oh, suicide mission? How about you try and kill the brotherhood. Nothing to worry about, they are just heavily armed and armoured in a foxhole."
There should absolutely have been an optional response (at least at the end of trying to talk House out of it) along these lines: "They're cowering in a bunker, posing a threat to exactly nobody. In fact, if you think a lone mailman can wipe them out, then you damned well _know_ that they're no threat; you just want them dead out of ideological animosity. You're pulling a Caesar right now. If you push it, I'll walk away and let your dreams of humanity's future die in the dust."
Something that would have made Vegas even better is being able to counteract the dumb dialogue that the writers setup with unique speech options, as if destroying a Brotherhood Bunker is any worse than inhaling the toxic cloud of the Villa and barely making it past pre-war holograms and the all seeing Father Elijah. That in itself is more impressive than anything we've done for House and he should know that.

House is obviously disappointed and annoyed but, as usual, found a way to turn the Courier's blunders to his advantage. As he said, he'd have no knowledge of the Omerta's plans if the Courier didn't screw it up or decide to help them for reasons.

House bought Repconn for a piece of IP they owned that he wanted. He was only able to purchase them because the company had fallen apart due to the PR damage caused by the Repconn shakes. Wannabe gangsters in suits vs upgraded securitrons? No problem. Brotherhood Paladins in two-inch thick plate armor with Gatling Lasers? Oh Courier, I have your next assignment~
Exactly. Worst case scenario, this idiot who helped the wannabe gangsters dies. No big deal, considering that the BoS don't pose a threat to House while they cower in their hole.
I think that Mr. House is the faction that lets you fail the most ammount of quests and still allow you to keep working for them (besides Yes Man, but he was designed as a fail safe anyway)
He mentions at the start that his plan for dealing with NCR and Legion at the Dam only requires the chip upgrades and Securitron Vault to be activated, both of which you cannot fail without making House an enemy. The rest are just to make his plan "smoother" so you can blow all of them and he still thinks his plan will work just not quite as well as he'd hoped so it's not that big a deal. Same with Yes Man, although with him you can blow up the Securitron Vault and still proceed, although he's clearly upset at that result but is programmed to assist you regardless.
@@eagleye2893 He's mostly just getting extra assistance or removing unknowns. If you mess up the Boomers, no big deal he didn't really need their help anyway and the Enclave remnants he didn't even know about anyway.
He doesn’t exactly have infinite monkeys to help him with his tasks as he can’t reveal his hand with the securitrons until the battle. Would be cool if he had Victor follow you if you start acting against his interests.

i understand the gameplay reasons but story wise and world building wise its kind of dumb he would have his securitrons wait for them on the day of the battle, instead of just immediately dealing with it now and having the omertàs dealt with.
