    They have a new version now, basically it’s the same BUT it has a USB C port. You can buy just the light itself( no cables included or ac adapter) or you can buy the one that comes with an AC adapter.

      Saw they released that the other day. I should have waited haha

    You can buy the ulanzi usc-c adapter cable or any 5.5 X 2.5mm to usb c adapter rated 40w or higher. Aliexpress has adapters for less than $2. I can also connect it to a PD bank. For new users, the new pro version has both dc and usb-c charging options. I'm now going to purchase the RGB version. I have the zhiyun g60 and x100 too, but love these Ulanzi 40w for their simplicity and smaller overall form factor when out and about. The modifiers are also cool and the low price is a bonus.

    The production value of this channel and the quality is insane for how few subs you have. I hope you blow up. Also, you talked me into buying 2 of these

    Ulanzi makes a USB-C to DC adapter specifically for this light. So you can def recharge via battery pack. It’s even better than the 60w LT005 in that respect.

    For those of you wondering how many watt hours this battery is for airline carry-on purposes, it's 50 Watt hours.....40 watts x 1.25 hours run time at maximum power is 50 watt hours.

    Ya they now have a usb-c adapter so thay issue is null. Plus some of the best mini sofbox modifiers out of all of these new pocket cob lights. And there is even a mini bowens to regular bowens mount adapter that they offer. Half the price of the other 60w pocket cob lights (minirig and zhiyun). With way better light modifiers (inckuding a tiny lantern softbox even!)

      I didn't see the "mini-bowens to regular bowens adapter" on their web site. Is it another manufacturer/seller and where ?
      If you mean iFootage it doesn't fit.

    Just returned mine. I wanted to love it but the fan is pretty loud, I hate the way you have to turn the switch then the dial to turn it on, internal battery dies fast, and there aren't many mini bowens mount mods available. Not sure how to adapt it to regular bowens mods. Wish it had app control too, would pay a little more for more features. Also 1% on this light is pretty damn bright. Decided to get the new godox ml60ii which seems much more robust with app control, bi color, and a similar size, although no internal battery...

    Hey did you look at the ULANZI 40W Pro ? It's sold cheaper ($72 Amazon), without the charger ($19.95) and also has usb-c plug-in. Plus it allows you to boost the light to 50W which is 125% brightness as well. They say it's made of metal...

      I know, typical this comes out after I reviewed the 40W version haha! I’ve not bought the Pro version but the USB adapter cable is on my list for the 40W version!

      @@DigiProTipsI had ordered both 40W L023 Pro and the new L024 RGB versions. I saved a bit of money during Ulanzi easter sale around 20% off. Got the power adapters $16 each and the mt79 light stands were $16 each and mini soft boxes with grid (octagonal) and the bowens lantern as they were fairly cheap, just $24 and $19. 4 Leaf Barndoors were $7. It was like $250 all in all.

    Have you tried any companies mini Bowens mount modifiers on this especially any barn doors or mini fresnels or grids ? With the battery and its light weight this would make a good back light on a clamp, if it were controllable.

    • @DigiProTips
      @DigiProTips  8 месяцев назад

      Not yet but that is my plan as well. Going to try the Zhiyun mini bowens adapter and see what results I can get!

      @@DigiProTips for me that would negate the point of the light. Other companies make mini bowens mount modifiers (that are small and light). Finding out what mini bowens fit what is the hard part, can only be done by trying them.

      The light is great on its own, the portability and output surprised me actually. Used it on a couple of shoots already. Agree that finding the right mount is the thing that is hard to do.

    would this do the job for a night outdoor video shoot with this light being the only light source

    • @DigiProTips
      @DigiProTips  8 месяцев назад +1

      I feel like what camera you are using would be a very big question here. ISO limitations being the main thing. I think in any case you would want as many lights as you can get for a night shoot to avoid noise in the shadows.

    I don't understand one thing. Why a reviewer reads the CRI/TLCI off the box? Do you really trust the manufacturer? Weren't you scammed enough to know better?
