I HAVE 622 SF HOME. I HAVE 3.1kw SOLAR. I DONT USE ANY PG&E. I WOULD LIKE ANOTHER 200 FEET...NO electric bill in 7 years, means the panels paid fot themselves in 5 years. I scrounged the new panels. So the new ones i bought are half paid for, plus i have the old panels to use in another home. Here are my expences compare. 1. Water $400ish per year 2. Garbage $400 year 3. Taxes on 76x102 sf lot $700+ per year. Thats it. $5.00 per day.
As you said, locations vary. Fort Worth TX., mortgage aside, 3000 s.f., updated for energy efficiency as possible for a 50 yr old home, my monthly expenses: Taxes - $600 Ins - $200/current, est to go to $300 at renewal Electric/Gas - $2 - 400 depending on the month (several neighbors $800 summer months) Water/Sewer/Trash - $80-130 Seasonal weekly lawn maintenance - $140 Compared to Monthly lot rental at several long-stay tiny home & rv parks - $550 + $60 est. electric. Yearly registration & taxes < $200, so around $15/mo. My savings living tiny will be substantial, but more importantly, I'll have more peace of mind, less upkeep, & more flexibility. I'm 4 mos away & cannot wait!
@@tinyhouselistings I've owned my home for many years & am paying cash for my tiny, so I'm not factoring in those. I heard the other day the new median price of homes in the DFW market is $425k. My particular neighborhood starts around there, up to $1.8M. I just want to live a simpler life that my tiny will provide.

Most tiny homes do not come with land not like a traditional home. Can't compare the too
How much are your tiny homes and can i see the layouts?
Makes perfect sense!
You get so much more when you by a small house, instead of a tiny one, As you get older, a tiny house would get undesirable pretty quickly.
We are seeing so many people at an older age moving into tiny homes
