Beautiful tone and he breathes new life into one of my favorite Beatles tunes with this slightly flamencoesque interpretation.

Totally agree - and the brooding darkness implicit in the original is preserved.
It's interesting to me that if you look at the Rubber Soul album carefully the themes are quite dark - cynical love-for-money ; infidelity ; a failed relationship; modern alienation - and that's just the first four tracks. Yes we have "The Word" but the treatment is far from lyrical... and side 2 has meditations on mortality (In My Life) and finishes with a song about potential abuse!
The Beatles kind of sweetened the pill (that was part of their collective genius) but Rubber Soul definitely has a sense of ambivalence about it. This is very much reflected in a fascinating album of covers of the album called Rubber Folk. ruclips.net/p/OLAK5uy_m8yibqYZs-wjSQ62ctJ5_TPqXrNbQykZo

Los 3 que pusieron un pulgar abajo al momento de escuchar al gran maestro Di Meola deberían tener la oportunidad de volver a nacer y así poder desarrollar el buen gusto, algo que evidentemente carecen por completo.

His sound on this Conde Hermanos is so nice. Without looking it seems like two guitars at once in some places. Spicy and warm.

I always loved Al's playing. first time I heard him was in 1974. Stanley Clark put out his first album back in the day. RTF blew me away!! I bought a tape back in 1983 and I still have it. I was in Mexico and I just kept going back and playing my nylon string guitar. made in Mexico.. hand made! I bought the guitar off a guy for 120 USD. the thing has brass frets and the sound is awesome. I have 9 guitars and they lay in the cradle and wait for me to play them. I sold off a lot of my guitars but I have too many still!! LOL play on...😎

If I could choose a "dream collaboration" on one song, I'd pick this song with Al Di Meola, Tommy Emmanuel and Ritchie Blackmore.

The resonance provided by $1-5 million worth of acoustic guitars sitting around, screaming, "pick me" definitely helps.

@OneonOne Brilliant man mind music and external open lol great stories and kind and humorous lastly human.
The story he shard about it his wife? She and I were laughing she and I looked at each other and both started, wouldn't you do that? I don't care who anyone is even McCartney. We smiled, giggling ( I was again tg for black sunglasses script) and boy did she and I agree on so much, I felt alive refreshed. Neither of us care who another icon is lol or anyone for that matter lol 😆 it doesn't impress us. We'd do that in a second for the right person persons. This blew my mind as it's were I decided I'd get a place away from the world get a little writing finished bring .... I'm going too get some work done in the Hamptons myself as well as oversea. Truly Only in the Hamptons would that honestly go down. Lol 😆 great as always. Ding dong Mr McCartney my husband doesn't want you to realize who he is. This is the cd he told you he was working in , enjoy have a great day. 😆 🤣 😂
Julian, I shared what you said and he said this was most remarkable he'd ever heard it or been able too. Di Meola again. This Saturday night was mind blowing.
You honestly never know whoes watching or who another person could be. Thank you for bringing me husband from back from the grave even for a few minutes. Al's wife and I just completely, accidentally met for the first time as usual it happens again.
We said hello spoke about mutual people etc we no and other thing's.
Than I had suddenly spilled my guts in uncontrollable tears sharing to her (about everything EVEN hidden musicians he need to meet play with, I'm always thinking about other's . That's about to stop) everything hide nothing regarding music Her husband and the truth what happened to Craig as no one ever or did explain. He was 29 I was 25 or turning 26 years old. The 90’s were hard enough touring, living hell for the first middle . Working , being friends with many amazing gone. But 01/03/ 94? That was it
I explained Craig would say Al's my medicine,he played 247 365 day's a year from our house, places and vehicles. Byhond smart music that medicin. Just Di Meola (Chick, Paco). Al's wife grabbed me we held each other extremely tightly (as I watched my poor sister in law sick in tears, my nice whoes 9 never met her uncle started even crying my father in law felt bad, no I said please don't). Yes finally no more wrestling, Craig sadly passed away. We than had all we're speaking. I said he was
Discovered by Less Paul at 14 accidentally (just like Di Meola states later on) my husband found Al through Chick Cora which is how Al came to be. He attended every single show all over. Paco as well only the 3. Al played not only this personal Beatles song to mean, more and so intensity my eye's busted out in tears Al went to town playing and byhond. I never in my life, have I seen heart hard core playing or ever felt everything I did that moment. I can't thank this amazing funny man I mean funny Di Meolas more than talented his funny stories 😄 and his amazing wife. Now slowly formed the beginning of a kind new amazing friendship. I will take my time on what I express and write about they intir story but yet still thank you will never be enough.
We all felt my husbands present there from each thing that happened. It took me to finally to be able too see, hear (now amazing thing's on the horizon) look even over hear all thoes ,but Al? That's simply the biggest reason music person (less as well) Al's music kept his Guinness brain happy claim we both living life amazingly. He was playing with the biggest and best in his own rights, until he sadly ended the battle. I blamed myself way to long due to something said long ago and neither of the three of us think to grab any Di Meola cd.
You honestly all have no idea how amazing and fascinating intensity Di Meola played Norwegian wood and more Saturday night. Finally we met again and as painful it was healing. Now love his whole family. Di Meola happens to be the best guitar player in the world industry. It's even written he is. Btw still Al thank's for being my prenuptial we all laughed at this one. My husband changed our first dance wedding song to one of Al's . I didn't even know about Al or what was going on. But my husband whispered in my ear that's Al Di Meola, if you don't learn to love him? This marriage isn't going too work. Lol 😆 🤣 I thanked him for that. Di Meola busted out laughing as well as his wife and friends all said That's a prenuptial that 🤣 😂 should be in everyone's wedding requirement. Thank you for everything Al the tears release relief and everything else personal that happened. Two women are definitely not losing touch. Another chapter or book just added. This is amazing what he did with so many battles tunes. If you can see Di Meola I highly recommend it. I honestly had to write everything

If you just listen to it (without watching the video) you will realize he makes a lot of mistakes on this performance. Also accents are not quite precise. None the less, the arrangement is absolutely beautiful. I just wish he could execute better his own arrangements. The song and the arrangement itself deserves it.
