I mean... it's literally part of his archetype. The point of characters like Gief and Dahlsim is that they have very slanted matchups and game plans. Someone like Zangief is supposed to struggle, because he gets a bigger reward for winning RPS.

Bro this time I against you. Zangief is still full of weakness even after the buff. The things he got buffed are the things he should have gotten from the very beginning. The other buffs like uppercut or stomp are pretty much useless. If Zangief got nerfed again, that would be n unfair crime. Ryu got so MUCH buffs, you just neednto figure out how to use those buffs more effectively.
The + frames vodoo they gave that booboo head Gief and the range at which he can grab out of a block string (damage notwithstanding) are just plain stupid! Yet, I still prefer to scrap against him over Bison's biiiiiiiiiiiiiish a** any day!

Na thats cap. Zangeif is easy matvhup for ryu.. the only thing they gave was consistentcy and damage to geif eith some fun combo extrnders.. ryu got even more buffs than snyone in the cast. Its a skil issue tbh.. geif hasnt eon anything major.. he is probably sitting at top 12 not even a top 6 character right now
