They are actually F-15E Strike Eagle. They were recently used as fighters to intercept Iranian drones attacking Israel. The South Korean F-15k are essentially Strike Eagles that afe also used in an air defense role. There is a Korean movie called Return To Base wherebthey are used to fight over North Korean Mig-29 fighters.
