This woman is very talented...not to mention adorable
I think she could easily be a model, if she hasn't been already.
Beautiful wife with skills. Every husband’s dream
Wow! I Love your work. You have a rare combination of sound technical skills, know how, and a bold, imaginative, creative flair... you have the goods to make your vision a reality. I admire your craftwomanship so much. I say this as a woman who wants to create just like you. I watched this because I want to build a real hearth surround for a real wood burning stove, using real stone found all over my property. I am inspired by your design ideas - the shape of the entire unit, cabinetry, mantle and shelving is so pleasing to the eye. Great job! Thank you for sharing.
When you matched the mantel to the ceiling beams it really brought the whole room together. Great job...as usual!
I'm thinking back to where this home started. Wow.
Your drywall tape thing reminded me that something I learned from a drywall guy along time ago. This guy was remarkably fast. One thing he did. Was he cut his drywall tape to length and then he had a 5 gallon bucket with the mud thinned out and he would dip the tape in the mud and pull it between his fingers to get the excess off, and he ended up with tape and wet mud on it and we just stick it into place and it came out nearly perfect and was incredibly fast. It was a restaurant we built on two bathrooms and he did drywall inside and out the muddying and taping part of it took about an hour, and it looked great when it was done. I’ve tried it and it would take me a whole lot longer, but it works really well, especially if you have a lot to do, but with the shorter strips like that, it would be even easier.
Great idea, thanks 👍🏽
WOW WOW ! Your design and craftmanship are amazing. That room looks fantastic. Your family will enjoy their time spent in it for many years. You have a special talent.
Very nice. I didn't expect anything less...
BEAUTIFUL 😍
This is gorgeous. So English. So cozy. And best part is it looks like it was always there
It's beautiful, it looks like it's always been there. I'm so impressed with how talented you are and your knowledge of building and improvements.
I recently discovered your channel and watching previous videos to catch up.
Thank you Linda! So glad you found me 🥰
You so talented and gifted girl
Congratulations,love from Greece.
Beautiful love it!
Watching you head lift that drywall brought back bad memories. Before I was aware of Sheetrock lifts, I used a ladder and my head, (along with a now-flat-headed buddy’s help) to install ceiling sheetrock on an enormous ceiling. Regrets for sure and before drywall screws were routinely used. We used drywall nails, overhead! We laugh about it often. Beautiful work on your part.
That was one big project for only one person. You are amazing.
I need you in my house! Beautiful work!
Seriously incredible result. You have another career at Disney with these faux treatments. You should add a faux hearth that sticks out a few inches in front...to give that extra little bit of realism.😉❤
Man! I feel like I have the skills to build this type of thing........but where do the ideas and creativity come from!!?? That is the thing I simply don't have! Great job!
I just look at inspo photos on Pinterest and Google then save ideas I like. 😌
@@WelcometotheWoodsBlog Thus far, my faux, but real wood, beam.......came from you....and now it looks like I know what I'm doing for the wall mounted electric fireplace I'm doing! If imitation is truly the greatest form of flattery, then please feel flattered. 😃 Keep up the good work!!
Love the way that room has come together. Your vision for it is great, modern yet warm and inviting.
WOW.....LOOKS GREAT!!

Awesome! I’d like to install the distressed beams in our manufactured home someday, I’m just not sure about adding anything to the ceiling. Very nice work you’ve done! 😊👍🏼
Wow!!! Just found your RUclips channel. I am in awe of your talent. You decorate beautifully too!!! We will be following. The house looks amazing. Great work
reminds me of those english englenook fireplaces in England. so beautiful. new to your channel.
hi Melissa, your videos are very professional ~ maybe you can make a youtube, where you talk about your creator equipment and software ~ for example, what microphone do you use, camera, video editing software, with product purchase web links
Sweet
You are so talented and skilled in your execution of your designs. Is there anything that scares you? Lol. Nice job!
Honestly it all scares me, I just do it anyway.
i kept waiting for you to grout between the rocks - would help it to look more real!
I originally had that plan, but you cannot grout over these panels because of the added weight/lack of adherence.
Were you in construction for a long time?
Your work is impressive. Koodos
I've never worked in construction. I'm self-taught lol
ТЫ - прекрасна. Я влюблен
hello melissa its is randy and i like u video melissa thanks friends randy
Gesundheit!! 10:14 🙂
I have a brick fireplace but I love this look and have wondered if I could use a product like this and adhere it to the brick. Do you think this would work? I just love how you did this and the distressed mantel is perfect!
If this girl cooks too, her guy has won the lotto.
I’m an excellent cook, but believe it or not my husband is as accomplished and impressive as me, just at different things. ☺️
👍🏼
Awesome job as usual. I'm thinking about purchasing the complete Kreg Jig system but someone told me that it's better to use a corded drill verses battery drills. Do you find this a problem?
Nope, not a problem at all.
Have you ever tried the quick setting drywall mud? Just curious if you ever compared it to regular Sheetrock mud. I bet you did good in math class in high school!
Drywall mud sets at different times that are listed on the bag (5, 20, 45, 90, etc). I prefer to use 45, anything quicker usually causes it to dry slightly as I’m still trying to work it because I’m not a professional so I’m not very fast.
💖💖💖👍👍👍
What kind/brand of stud finder is that?
Nice work with the circular saw. Out of curiosity, do you have a table saw?
I do, yes a jobsite 10" dewalt
@@WelcometotheWoodsBlog very cool. You're versatile!
Great Job, Big head jk jk. It looks amazing lol
How the hell do you learn all this?!!!
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🇹🇷🇹🇷
Melissa? Why not real stove ? Fake is not gonna heat up much .
We don’t have a chimney here and it would cost thousands to put one in.
Nothing wrong with faux. Disneyland is all faux lol
Damn girl shorten up those shoelaces. They longer than you are tall
It's beautiful, but not practical.
EXTREMELY FLAMABLE! Re member the Great Adventure fire that killed many?!
Definitely not extremely flammable
It's a Faux wood stove .. NO Fire. Relax.
Handle explains it....
