I gotta say man you are a great content creator I love all your videos! You film them in a way that makes it seem like you have a whole crew and it’s ALL YOU! Congrats man you’re doin awesome n I appreciate these videos! Love all your work!
Dude, you are way better than 90% of the people on Motor Trend TV. You need to have your own show. I hope some executive sees your videos and makes you an offer you can’t refuse. Keep up the good work.
I dont do RUclips nor do I care to support; however, I subscribe and watch your vids. This is the reality of the true DIY'er. I actually watch as if this was an episode of a fav sitcom. My wife says to get different music!!... I had to mute during those portions. I have similar.. A TT Z06 and a 1300whp 3.8L Whipple powered E55. My next build is going to be a 68/69 LS swapped Chevelle.
Props to this cat! Dude humps engines on his own, lugs all the vehiculars in and out of multiple garage bays by hand, has great detail with the explanations and the quality of his output is great. Get this man a damn beer!!! Subbed
Hi Chris, first you are doing something I wish I could have done when I was younger, keep chasing your passion. You should be on TV. You have been an inspiration for me to tackle any issues that my car has. I love watching your videos, keep them coming. Thanks, Brandt
Great video! I bought a red 2008 zo6 new. Now i have a 2017 zo6. Thinking about finding another c6 zo6. Love to watch your videos. I have worked on hotrods all my life. But at 66 with heart trouble and arthritis its getting harder. Can't wait to hear it fire up!
I found this channel by mistake and I’m fuxkn hooked bro, great work and attention to detail, now just upload more because I think I’ve binged all of your episodes
Nice progress. I gotta ask though, is there a reason why you didnt replace the harmonic crank pulley damper while the engine was out? The factory LS motors are notorious for subpar harmonic balancers that start to delaminate and can "wobble" or the inner and out part separates and doesn't spin the accessories. You could have used the ATI damper from the old LS7 the car came with?
Subbed real quick. Production is super high quality and this is the perfect format for car build videos. I'm hoping to get into a C6z by the fall and I learned so much about this platform from these vids. Keep up the good work.
car is coming along quick qnd fast. We appreciate your grinding out this content and look forward to your uploads. Take it from an old timer you need to get some kind of 12v winch system so your not pushing and pulling cars in like Thor. Looking forward to the next upload and really enjoyed the Mercedes vid.
I’m running the same clutch in my camaro with a Tick Performance adjustable master cylinder and I love it. I’ve beat the snot out of it for almost 3k miles and no issues so far. And like you said, the speed bleeder is a life saver and a must have!
Outstanding Job Chris. Really enjoy the detail and your added wisdom during these projects. Hope you and your family have a great holiday and happy new year !
Thank you for the great content! I'm new to working on cars and I broke my Trailblazer SS LS2 but wasn't sure what happened. As soon as you pulled the intake off the LS7 and looked inside at the carnage I took off my cold air intake tube off and looked through the throttle body and found my carnage. Now to build my first, hopefully my block survived.
I should be in bed, have to be at work early in the a.m., but yet here i am still watching cars get rebuilt. Been watching your channel for most of my day...
I just found this guys channel and it’s so awesome to see his collection of cars and especially how he does all the work himself and shows in depth everything he does and explains what he’s doing, love the work man keep it up 👊🏼
I appreciate your explanations of what you are doing as you go along. A picture may be worth a thousand words, but a picture can also be confusing without any captions.
HiChris, just want to say I've watched All your Videos and I have to say, You do Awesome. Job on All your Projects!! Love them All. Keep up loading all your Project videos, I really enjoyed them. You Rock!!
Chris love the video on this red C6 Z06. I wish I was half as mechanically inclined to do this stuff like you do. You even know all the names of the parts taken off as well as put back on. I have all the faith that once you get everything in, it will run like a pro. Thumbs ups man.
Subscribed !!! Bonjour from the Riviera (I'm a Texan though) and have to say WOW what a steal on the replacement LS7 ... the heads paid for the long block IMHO. Can't wait to see the Dyno results. I have an '07 Z06 ($150k new over here due to Taxes/Duty ... all "American Cars" are double the cost in EU) and have to agree with whomever commented the previous owner probably over rev'd her (easy to see if the limiter was disconnected for Track) ... most of the 06-07's were unaffected by the shitty value guide mis-machining issue ... like mine. Whew !!! Good to know on the Clutch/Rock Auto ... not that I need or want on but good info none the less.
Good deal on that engine, especially given the mods! Are you interested in taking on another 2008 C6Z? I'd like to do H/C/MSD intake on mine as well... I checked RPM, but they're booked forever and are pretty expensive! LMK!
Chris love your videos..when you got this I was like damn hellova deal but once you got into it I was like this is alot of work..anyway its cool to see your almosr done..good job!
I hope new engine has the cylinder head upgraded or if not just pop on some ported ls3 heads since we know ls7 were notorious for cylinder head failure due to valve guides and other parts of the valve train. Im glad yours have been upgraded
I like your style, Chris! Great work ethics and very organized. So, these cars your rebuilding, doing it because it's a hobby you enjoy? or flipping to make some side money and just re-invest for the next car to rebuild or maybe all of the above? Keep it up! I'm not only getting some education but enjoying it too! I have a C6 LS3 with 519whp. I have upgraded everything including suspension, rear end and 373 gears! etc. I'm a Vette nut! Thanks for the great content! Tim 🙂
I'm following all this with bated breath. I get to see how my Z06 was built. And what everything looks like. And what happens with the valve stem guide ID issue. Thankfully, mine has nearly 120Kmi on it now with zero issues & nearly no oil use between changes. Hoping I can get the full life from this engine. I understand the best constant 'track' engine is the LS3 GS. The LS7 seems to be much more of a high performance 'road' engine for occasional track use only. I guess it wasn't designed for a lot of competition track use.
I so enjoyed the videos I had a suggestion. . . Slo Mo . . . I think if you could ad some slow Motion into your production it would take things over the top. Your a total natural and a One Mil sub channel , trust me here. they are on the way. I steered DOVYDAS to a one MIL channel, so LETS GO. Your on it man, Cheers and Merry Christmas !
I always enjoy your videos. My only complaint is that you do not make more. On a side note my favorite build to date was the Cadillac. It was cool you saved it from being eventually beat to death or crushed. I have to admit I was sad that you let go of it after all the nice work you did on it.
cant wait to see the finished product! looks nice and easy to work on these cars you got a nice garage and space to work i got a standard 2 car garage with 2 cars in it and tools and what not so it would be near impossible for me to do this type of work as easy as you could totally jealous of that but this is some nice motivation for me to get started on my car 98 ws6 TA
Excellent video bud. Great find on that ebay LS7 too btw. I can't wait to see that bad boy fire up and start thumping. Need to advertise your channel a bit better my friend, you need a much larger subscription base for your content as many of the others here have posted. Get that name of yours out there dude.
I just picked up a 2007 z06 with 33k miles on it for cheap because it has a story and needs work. I work for a GM dealer and was able to pull the service history. The engine has a little over 12,000 miles on it. Watching you put this Z06 back together made me pull the trigger. What brand speed bleeder do you recommend?
Chris..noticed that beat up mini bike sitting on the side of your cave..reminds me of my younger days...would be nice change of pace to see you restore it..thx
Hey Chris, I'm digging your channel. Hey I'm wanting, like you say, some big chop in my 06 C6 convertible 6.0 base and was wondering if you had any recommendations as far as cam specs and head combinations you would care to share with me. I haven't done anything to the car except for borla atak axle back exhaust ,cold air intake. Was contemplating E85 conversion and a hot cam heads and headers. Thanks for your input. Jeff Hatch.
Hello, i just bought a pretty neglected 2006 Corvette C6 and this channel helped me to gain more confidence for the engine rebuild. Although I have a question - that LS7 clutch you just installed looks like a self adjusting clutch. Shouldn't you use one of these special SAC tools for the install?
Why didn't you change the always failing harmonic balancer while it was out. Summit has a nice one for about $200.00 with under drive or not I opted for not using the under drive balancer, due to it charging your car battery slower & we know vette's love the voltage juice and are very picky when you mess with this..Just wondering because these harmonic balancers from chevy fail with 27,000 miles on them as my car did. I caught it in time before it did any damage thankfully..
Inspired me to do a head swap on my 01 SS… almost done with it. Do you think I’ll make a good gain going E-85 while N/A. Stage 3 cam, trickflow heads with ls6 intake manifold.
Hi Chris, great video! I am leaning from you since I have never done an engine motor swap before. Who makes the long tube headers that installed???? I own a 2013 427 so I have the same engine. I bought it new (#1991 out of the total 2000 427 built for the 60th anniversary Corvette); it is a heck of a great car; nicer than my 2007 Z06. It is still stock with 28,803 miles on it with zero problems!!!
21k subs is criminally underrated for your content bro
Thanks man!
Foreals!
Agreed!!!
Totally agree
Facts 💯💯
Super underrated channel, unlike other car channels, I’m glad you finish your builds
I was expecting Chris to use a forklift when unloading the engine lol… this guy has everything at his house 😂
These long detailed videos are perfect and so satisfying to watch. Please keep it up!
Sweet- Excited to watch this later !
This is the best build channel on RUclips, I am shocked how this channel doesn’t have 100k+ subs
It’s coming 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I'm truly addicted to your Channel because your audiology into the details of rebuilding a car is phenomenal I can't wait till the next video
I gotta say man you are a great content creator I love all your videos! You film them in a way that makes it seem like you have a whole crew and it’s ALL YOU! Congrats man you’re doin awesome n I appreciate these videos! Love all your work!

man I'm loving your channel. I work from home and its sweet to just let the video go in the background.
Enjoying your channel very much. Would love see a garage build tour video one day .

I appreciate your explanations of what you are doing as you go along. A picture may be worth a thousand words, but a picture can also be confusing without any captions.
I always look forward to your videos Absolutely the best car channel and host on the tube. Keep up the good work. Great content as always
Awesome workmanship. Keep the videos coming brother... one of my favorite channels.

start with some tools...you will be surprised. gotta want it
Great work Chris, enjoy watching your builds!
Well done! I thoroughly enjoyed watching this Vette rising from the ashes…I mean aluminum shreds!! I’m looking forward to the next one!
I’ve been patiently waiting for this vid. That is a great score for an engine! Should be a really fun car. Can’t wait to see it finished.
Subscribed !!! Bonjour from the Riviera (I'm a Texan though) and have to say WOW what a steal on the replacement LS7 ... the heads paid for the long block IMHO. Can't wait to see the Dyno results. P.S. I was about to feel sorry for you trying to stab her by yourself ... until I saw your screwjack Engine Hoist ... how slick is that ???
Here for the LS7, that Vette is my dream car! Can't wait to hear the chop from that cam you told us about
Another awesome video bro!! Thanks for posting I really like all the lil info you put into your videos.
Good deal on that engine, especially given the mods! Are you interested in taking on another 2008 C6Z? I'd like to do H/C/MSD intake on mine as well... I checked RPM, but they're booked forever and are pretty expensive! LMK!
I just crushed all your videos on this build. Awesome content dude keep it up
Great update. Looking forward to your next video.
I'm not sure if anyone else has commented on this yet but the most impressive part of this video was the hop into the back of your truck. 😂
Now I need to go back and watch that lol
You are real good Chris. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.👍
It’s awesome how you do it all by yourself. Great content and craftsmanship. Thank you
Bro, I was taking a drink when u said, "The angle of the dangle"... cracking me up.
Getting close cant wait to hear that first start
Love this channel and Chris is amazing but Is anyone else wondering why he didn't put a new harmonica balancer on the new motor?
Chris love your videos..when you got this I was like damn hellova deal but once you got into it I was like this is alot of work..anyway its cool to see your almosr done..good job!
How does this channel have only 22k subs! Keep up the good work man content is on par with some of the bigger channels!
Thank you sir! You are a magician with the C6 Z06 and have helped me immensely! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
I hope new engine has the cylinder head upgraded or if not just pop on some ported ls3 heads since we know ls7 were notorious for cylinder head failure due to valve guides and other parts of the valve train.
Im glad yours have been upgraded
Can’t wait to listen to that chop !
Keep up the milestones acheived
Love learning from your channel , great work !
I'm really enjoying your content Chris, thank you for no nonsense high quality work!

Love how perfect your past self video was so perfectly made
Favorite channel on RUclips.

I’m sure you have but I’m curious if you’ve tried the etched mag cleaner? It’s amazing what it does to aluminum
new subscriber, getting a c6 z06 soon awesome content bro
Fun to watch.
Good video style no waste or BS.
I wonder which Chris can bench more, past Chris, or future Chris? Great progress
Bad ass…. I want to be like you when I grow up👍 thanks for the vids and keep it up!

Depends on the setup. More compression will respond better to E85
Hi Chris, great video! I am leaning from you since I have never done an engine motor swap before. Who makes the long tube headers that installed???? I own a 2013 427 so I have the same engine. Can’t wait to see the sequel to this. Looking forward to hearing that fresh LS7
Its a piece of CRAP that isnt even good enough to scrap for parts.
very underrated channel keep it up man
What pressure washer did you use in this video? Looks pretty compact and handy.
Watching the engine go in and I was a little surprised to see you did swap the harmonic balancer off the other motor. Any reason why you?
You need a good friend to hang out and help you for fun. I vouch for myself 😂😂
