tbh i havent tried it with out it but have the parts , but in theory the shorter less travel would be better for a smoother higher traction tracks we have low med trac track and gets very bumpy i think the extra droop and shock travel helps alot in the rough areas and more lower clearence but could be preference too some might prefer with out it .
