I was at this performance in Newport. Also performing that day was Miles Davis with john Scofield on guitar. Good stuff excellent recording quality. I found this video while trying to find the Miles set which so far I can't find.

So awesome to see this video - 1984 was my first Newport Jazz Fest (lived in Mass about an hour away) at 18 ... incredible performances.
