To be honest, you are singlehandedly delivering the story better than the game itself did, which is impressive
I love the darker tone of this story. Compared to XCOM where it's Leeson missing a 99% shot at point blank, this feels grittier. You can't laugh at it because there are no jokes being made. Can't believe I got invested in Ethan's story. Props to you Drifter!

This was definitely worth the wait

Still no long war but I suppose I can take an hour of Drifter as an apology.
It must take quite some time to write the story and edit this, but it was well worth the wait. Seeing the story told through the different squads, their viewpoints and where they came from adds a uniqueness to this playthrough, that is rarely found. Even though I suspect it will take a while, I can't wait for the next installment of this series.
I just went back and watched part 1 & 2 and I can't wait for a part 3.
This game is wild, You're attempt to fully make a narrative makes me feel like this game has a bit of an issue with a complete story having a dozen small stories that have very little to do with each other as you try to retake the world. You're version definitely sells the game well.
dang im disappointed to have missed the second part until now. Drifter i gotta say you are reviving this game for me and i may not be able to have fun with it but i sure will try after all these vids. Please keep them up as they are incredibly enjoyable and i am glad to spend the time watching them.

The hardest part about being invested in a story is waiting for it to continue. I need to know more. I love the writing and storytelling. I hope the next part comes out soon.

I really like Phoenix point however i play on ps4 and this game is just broken. I have probably submitted 50 plus videos of game crashes. With that said i really thoroughly enjoy this content you are putting together its allowing me to finish the game through watching. Keep up the good work thanks.

I just had the wildest thing happen to me in an Xcom2 run today and I know this video isn’t Xcom2 but I’ve been watching you for a while now and as this is your latest xcom related video I thought I’d put it here hoping for a response.
So I’m in the second part of the final mission, the finale of the finale. Mission starts normal and I get through the first avatar no issue. As it should, the second avatar spawns in (with a few Vipers but that’s irrelevant), it moves towards my squad and takes cover. I hit it with one of my sharpshooters and as they do they teleport away and it teleports out of sight of any of my troops. Now this isn’t weird, they teleport quite randomly. Then advents turn comes and a reinforcement pod spawns in WITH THE THIRD AVATAR! I haven’t killed the second avatar now there are 2 on the map to deal with at once! In all your hours of Xcom2 have you EVER had to deal with 2 avatars at once on the final mission? I’ve got nearly 1000 hour in this game and I’ve never heard of this.
Nope, I've never had two AVATARs spawn on the same turn. Honestly sounds pretty horrifying haha.

I had a couple xcom 2 runs i thought i would run past you!
Xcom 2 but you can only use 1 class at a time. You can access all the classes, but you can only use one class for any given mission meaning youll have to have a lot of soldiers of all the different classes in order to field full teams.
The second suggestion is xcom 2 but you can only use 1 of each class per mission. So you can use any classes your want, but your squad has to be diversified everytime you go into a mission. No doubling up on classes. (This one seems easier in my head than.the other one or any of the other runs youve done on here before.)
I have done something similar to the second suggestion, if you have a look at my "only one" video.

Hey The Drifter's Broadcast would you ever consider doing some challenge runs on Phoenix Point? I was think the class restriction like you do in Xcom 2

Hay just a ligit question, where is the rest of the light walker's squad? Are they dead or with them and you didn't mention it or what? Either way great stuff and can't wait for more
They're alive. I imagine Ethan just didn't want to put them in harm's way (plus the game only lets you deploy a maximum of 8 soldiers, so someone had to sit the mission out 😁).
Alright just hoping something terrible didn't happen
Also think it would be cool if each of the 3 main teams lead down a different faction, brovo down jerrico, alpha down snydrion, and Ethan down the Anu
