👍
👍😀
This line currently ends at Brighton (A Hobart Suburb) but this is also known as the “Main Line” between Hobart and Western Junction
👍😄
Not as many scurrying little fury animals this side of Conara Junction. I only noticed the one. There was quite a few in last nights video.🐰🐹🐭🦊
They've learnt to stay off the tracks along here?? 🤔🤔👍🤣
Lights flash when horn blows .Never seen that before
No I haven’t either. Might be a quirk of Tassie given the number of uncontrolled level crossings or infrequency of trains?. Of course they do it in the USA and Canada I’m pretty sure (with a bell ringing)
Some freight locomotives over here on the main land also have that feature. 👍😄
@@xr6lad In the U.S.A, from very early 1950's the locomotives had a front oscillating search light activated approaching country level crossings. It flashed out to the sides and caught the attention of the car driver. A bit like seeing a spot light shooter out in the paddock .
Semaphore signal at 21.56
There are a few around the system still remaining but they are out of use. 👍😄
I'm guessing that track is narrow gauge?
Correct. It is 3'6". 👍😄
Is tassie extra narrow gauge 😅
🤣 It is narrow gauge. 3'6". 👍😀
No signals or staff & ticket?
No, it's a type of electronic track warrant system. 👍😄
Up until ANtasrail Australian Nation Railway, and removal of TGR infrastructure. Some electric staff was used between East Tamar Junction and old Invermay workshop. Train Orders then later track warrants. The interlocking of sidings was very ordinary. A big very old brass paddock and indicator. Leaving the points laying to Blumont Siding on the North East after the down shunt, 30:18 the up Herrick train went into the swing colliding with loaded log wagon. Both drivers backs never recovered from the leap off the loco.
@@rsinclair6560 that doesn't sound like a very good situation at all. We would hope it's a lot better today. 👍😄
