just wondering how archeologists believe that the monks had intestinal worms... from only skeletal remains.
In some instances they excavate the cesspit and they can find the parasite eggs in the poo/soil by checking under the microscope. The parasite is long dead but the eggs are really tough and can be identified as to what species and everything, even after hundreds of years in the right preservation conditions. It's amazing and fascinating and I have way too much information on the subject lol.
@MedievalMadness Can you do a video on medieval food, such as pottage?
Sponsorship is a bit of fun guys chill
Fortunately when working for the forestry commission many years ago. Finding a tree to lean against wasn't a problem.
.......and just think - every once in awhile, you will hear a story about someone getting e-coli from eating lettuce or some other produce.....
why do you think that is ?? ......couldn't possibly be due to the fact that the farm worker had the "squirts" out in the field.......
I just saw another history video below this one in the suggestions... It was titled "How to lay siege in the Middle Ages"...
It was about Medieval warfare.... But I thought it could also have been a rather humorous alternative title to this video.! 😉 😉 😂 😂
-And what job do you do for a living, Mr Shabby?
-I clean out public lavatories.
-Is there promotion involved?
-Oh yeah, yeah. After five years they give you a brush!
