Suggestion .. ;) built a little shed for your wood, it will keep it dry all year long. I have about 6 cords of those slab wood ( my neighbors have a saw mill ... ) and I just built myself a sauna last year. and let me tell you having all my house wood ( around 32 cords for 2 years and more ) don't you hate missing some firewood ;) ;) :) The wood is always dry and ready to use. And on top of that you have very nice slab wood wow !!!! ;)

You two are the most safety minded people I watch of the off grid RUclipsrs, so great job with that in mind. I like your new blue heeler pup, and it will be useful with keeping your goats in line down the road, perhaps even the bears will keep their distance.

Make a V cradle rack out of scrap lumber and space the gaps far enough apart to get your firewood length. And as you mill put your drops in it. When it gets full, Run your saw down the lengths and make firewood.

You need a steering wheel knob on the tractor, makes it much easer to steer and use the front loader controls at the same time. I have one on my tractor.

Hard work! An ideea: drive 2 stakes into the ground, 2-3 m apart, stiffen them up with a board and nails, and place the firewood between the two stakes up to the top safely. you can protect them from the rain with a tarp

Alot of that wood could've been made into platters or pot holders for sale..js lol Alot of the split cuts looked good enough for the house wood, maybe just not seasoned. Love the new puppy, it'll grow up to be a great guardian dog. Love ya'll ❤️ as always, look forward to much more

As a suggestion, if you stack the firewood in a criss cross pattern on both ends it'll prevent the wood from coming unstacked. A pillar íf you will.

I have a suggestion for a chain sharpener for the chainsaw. I cut a lot of wood and trees. I use the Granberg Bar-Mount Chain Saw Sharpener. I think I spent $70 for it. It's super easy to set up and takes maybe two minutes to sharpen a 20" chain. It clamps right to the bar so it makes field sharpening simple. I then hit the leaders with a flat file and ready to go.

Maybe you could build a bin with front gate that drops off to dump and that straps to the front of tractor on the scoop that will easily load and unload more firewood. As is is not heavy but likely to drop a load one day.

time index 4:30: brown dog wants to know "where is my treat?" lol...
looks like things are progressing very well there. always like to see progress.
once the mill area is all cleaned up, i wonder if it would be worth the effort to set up something to sort of stack the off cuts on in a way where they'd be easier to cut up later on? you could avoid a bunch of trip hazards that way and save doing all that bending over to cut it all up.
it might not bother you right now, but later on, your back is gonna feel it.....
i really do enjoy your videos.
keep on keepin' on my friends.

It is your hearts and love for each other, the animals, the life I wish I too had. Now 73, bad health, a pretty girl does give a old man hope to live for yet wish you two absolutely the very best... was kinda hoping that the router designed panels might make a showing as Greg, your absolutely talented enough to make it work for you and get you inside this cabin or home should it be called by proper name. Its a home full of dreams and love. I had my chance and it was taken from me. Just knowing I have two canadian friends is all I ask for
