Man I can’t believe he only brought 500 points of guard
😆😆😆
I didn't even have to scroll for 5 seconds for this comment
Dude did you not see that Leviathan command tank?! It’s at least 575… possibly even 576
Lol
Lol my gf was asking me about how man models I needed… I think I have close to 60 guardsmen for a 500 point Army?
"Play what you actually want to play..." Amen to this line. I spent a few years looking at guardsmen and wanting to collect them. However, I didn't like any guard army enough to collect. That's when I got the idea of an Japanese Edo period army. Though it's barely anything yet, it's a blast to find bits and build my own unique army of guardsmen
Awesome, I can actually get behind terminator armor for sisters of battle. Did you give them different looking Terminator armor or basic? I've been kit bashing ashigarus (I suck at spelling) with imperial guardsmen bits. They look actually decent.
@날파리우스의 워해머 체널 with my limited knowledge lol it's the straw hat style, but I don't think they are actually straw. I got the models from "Pike and Shotte". The only complaint I have is that I have to use the basic guardsmen arms.
@날파리우스의 워해머 체널 i actually plan on letting the samurai be more cavalry based with a few in foot. However they will be a fraction to the army, where the ashigarus will be the main bulk. As for yari, I would give them to the cavalry, I see no better weapon for them lol. Hard part when I collect enough infantry will be vehicles. I don't want traditional 40k vehicles, more WW2 Japanese. But finding those in the correct size been tricky the few times I've searched.
oh shit that sounds cool I would love to see it.
@@markbauby7442 thank you and right now I only of six built. However not sure if I like the kit bash of the Ashigarus. Debating if the arms are too big, since they are Cadian Imperium Guard arms. Otherwise the unit flags on they backs or the traditional packs and traditional armer looks amazing.
Now this is what the hobby is about, building a collection over years and making something proud to play on the table. Fuck the meta. Play glorious things, and can always come back to it and have something prideful on the shelf.
Exactly! I saw the amount of Artillery and oh, my heart weeped proud guardsmen tears.
I love that salt "I shot down your flyer with a lasgun." *Silence afterwards*
As a guard player, the level of detail is just next level. What a beautiful army, this has given me a big hobby boost!
I had the good fortune to have Findlay live with me for a bit - and I got to see this army everyday, and played against it - and to live with a true big hearted, generous, and kind man who puts everyone before him - he's a true gem
I love the army showcase videos! They motivate me to get good at kitbashing, conversions, and painting. And Findlay's army is awesome :)
Same. It’s awesome seeing a massive labor of love like this.
I miss 40K. And btw…thank you for calling them Imperial Guard!!
"Look this Manticore conversion even closes up!"
*Camera immediately shifts away from the thing he's doing*
As much as I enjoy the battle reports for 40k and the other games yall have done these army overviews are always so great.
This guy is an absolute Chad, helping people in need and a dope army; 11/10
We need a Findley's Scottish Regiment vs the Grot Guard matchup.
Yes
Yessss
Perfect recreation of Scotland vs england.
The Pipes , The Pipes ! William Wallace of 40K.... I love it, this army looks amazing!
The stories behind this really showcase there's so much more depth to just painting and battling - tons of friendships and you can tell the community near you guys is so close!
Please invite this man to play in 40k in 40m. His army and attitude are great.
He’s done an apocalypse game with us last year actually. You can go check it out!
@@PlayOnTabletop I knew this, i meant new games :)
@@flyingpancake4981 I'd have to like relearn how the game works it's been so long!
@@MrFindlaycrg cool... So like 3 weeks or...
@@MrFindlaycrg That sounds like a minor setback on the road to victory to me.
I love those wheeled conversions!
Aight! That's it! Patreon, here I come. In terms of battle reports, you guys are the absolute best 40K channel out there. I hope for more content for years to come!
P.S. Will we ever see Blood Ravens represented on the channel?
Thank you! Oooh. Blood ravens would be fun. Need to find some players who want to play it.
Troops wearing kilts had the apron in all theatres to protect the tartan this was very common ww1 trenches in the mud. I love the Scottish theme to this hats off to you !!!!
I am not done with the video yet but daamn this army looks absolutely amazing! I hope we will see it again on the channel in the future.
It's going to be in the 40k Feature we are releasing very soon!
Such an amazing army, and the owner seems like a really great guy too. Thanks for sharing!
SOO, Fantastic! Great timing as I was stalled on my own guard collection. Just an awesome army to gaze throughout your ranks. Just a inspirational force!
first time i`ve seen the Blightwheel combat chickens painted. They`re so awesome.
What a cool and genuine dude.
If there's anything needed more from this army is that they need more bayonet, especially the Stormblade
wow!
that army is just amazing!
I personally love the Armour-cast Warhound titan, those 2nd ED ogrins and those burning pipes! those are just awesome.
(or was it epicast? anyway, those guys look super cool. but are near impossible to get)
really hope to see your army show up once more for a fight!
Everything he said about play what you want to play, and enjoy it, and you'll paint it.
As a Highlander this made me very happy
What a great passion for the hobby, it really shows in the army. Some outstanding conversions going on, especially like the rough riders!
I love the passion that went into that guard force, and the amazing pain jobs of course!
2nd edition for me too. I have 2 full squads of original LEAD tallern dessert raiders. 1 cadian squad and some heavy weapon valhallans
A baneblade surviving a giant chaos warphound is solid lore, "Iron Dune" is such a dope name haha
Amazing display of mighty army. Thanks for sharing these video`s Play on Tabletop. Made my day, Respect to you Findlay Craig
Wheel Chimera looks so cool. Love Scotland. Well done bud !
Cool. I remember when Armageddon was a thing the first time around.
Wow I thought the command leviathan was a piece of terrain at first:) top job.
Luv the Guard,
Luv me Emprah,
Luv me Imperium,
‘Ate the Commissar,
Simple as.
that guy was me1 I sold him the tank for dirt cheap as I knew it would go to a good home, and that he'd have the skills to bring that bad boy to it's full glory!!!
2nd ed ogryns yaaaasss, I called mine Og (fist in the air), Ogg (wears a hat) 'n' Oggy (the leader). Awesome resolve for that army.
Really like the sound of the tournament rules about scoring, sounds great
The knight just got me on the first sight. I just researched where to get on and i'm now heading to get one myself. Thanks for the great content and for your Love for the Hoby!
What kind of Knight is it? I've been trying to figure it out but it doesn't look like any of the Imperial Knights on forgeworld.
Wow! What an awesome army very impressive and such a great idea. 👍
For future reference a tree without the branches is a "log".
Just an awesome army and a wonderfull project. Thanks for showing it. This motivates for getting the own projects done!
I see Victoria Lamb miniatures as your troops. I also use her Scott parts for my guard. Awesome parts! Love your army! Very cool thought involved in your guard. Thanks for sharing.
That is a super cool army!
I always love army showcases! So inspiring and interesting to see other people's army's
Great advice! Paint what you want, don’t paint for the edition! Couldn’t agree more!
I fucking love the creativity with Guard forces. I've been threatening my own bank account that I should make custom female Catachan or Krieg army using House Escher models from Necromunda. If this ever happens I would use Ash Wastes Striders as Rough Riders as well.
I preserve in scale of time, quality, and dedication!
-You missed my favorite detail!
-...is that poop?
-Yes.
heeheehee!
as a sister player u won me on the cathedral on trucks! keep up the emperors work!
Damn I need the paint recipe for this army. I love the desert look, and its army!
Hey Jupiter, You're welcome to message me on facebook and I'll share it! probably easiest to find my blog Barbarian Painting!
@@MrFindlaycrg Great, thank you. See you soon on FB :)
Dude that imperial guard knight is awesome. Love that pacific rim style look, rugged imperial powerrrrrrrrrr.
really cool army
Damn... I read his name as Friendly Craig the first time :)
Man that is an army. Love to see James battle it out with him :D
Liked the video as soon as I seen the saltire, incredible looking army
Editor did not know what the picture was haha great video
This man has the heart of a Trollbloods player.
Great army, great discussion. Thanks.
im in love with the showcases
What he said about it going on as you find new stuff, I went onto wahapedia and just saw all these cool tanks and I wanted to make all of them, still working on that but like guard have an all volkite tank, just so much yes
Surreal, just googled him yesterday looking for a local painting competition in Vancouver in 2022.
Toss Yer Cabers 2019 was the article methinks.
Was kinda worried before my mate linked me about this vid but these look lovely.
Would love to see the Lion Rampant worked into it in some way
Findlay: this'll be 1500pts and that's it
8 years later-
Oh man, and I've painted so much more just in the last year...
Love these amazing army showcases
After seeing the wheeled chimeras, I want a Canadian Army themed guard army with motorized infantry units on wheeled chimeras (instead of LAVs).
Where does the robotech looking robot comes from ?
14:58
...thats a fucking 40k scale Battlemech.
That freaking tank man. I've been loosing games to that damn tank since the mid 90's. I've yet to see it be destroyed. Looted yes, broken no.
Yay! Was gonna message you and see if you saw it!
@@MrFindlaycrg Yah dude. I'm sharing around to everybody I can think of who has owned that thing over the years.
Awesome collection! Well done!
just beautiful
This army is awesome
this is funny... I made the 93rd Cadian highlanders about 6 years ago...their Penal Legion was called MacIntyre's Marauders LOL
Around 15:00 From my perspective as Tau lover - at least - present the mech xD
PROPER WARHOUND !!!! Armorcast everyone.
The guard options make it a slippery slope. Ork I imagine are the same but with creativity rather than a collector stand point.
why dont i ever see any Catachan Jungle Fighters?? my brother had this army 20 years ago, sadly my parents sold it at a garage sell
the color scheme reminds me of one i just saw as a Krieg varient, khaki cloaks and dark red/brown leather and pants
Cool!
Clarification - Caber Tossing is about how accurate you can throw the tree, not how far you can throw it.
This is an awesome looking army, but I'd love to know who makes/where to get that converted knight he's got there, that's just a slick model and I want several of them...for reasons...maybe to go along with an idea for a Guard army that I've had for a bit.
I’ve actually been planning a trip to BC since pre covid. Learning you guys are located there makes me really excited! Do you do studio tours or are you maybe attached to a game shop? I’d really love to see the studio if it’s open to the public
Thanks you very much for all the glorious battle reports! And the line "What you enjoy painting, you gonna enjoy playing with" applies to every army I think. I needed that.
PS: Your one and only game of AOS was in July, isn't the next one overdue? xP I would really love to see some Age of Sigmar between all the 40K.
("40K in 40min" and "Age of Sigmar, finally after ages")
Looks like a variant on my own renegade guard armor brigade, just a lot lighter on tanks and artillery but heavier on infantry and rough raiders.
Nice army, i really like the sheme and tank and tank and tank and tan...
Does Findlay know about the drookian fen guard? It is canonically kilt wearing regiment of imperial guardsmen.
Love this!
OH MY EMPEROR YES ITS YARRICK
Wish he talked about the knight/titan
As a genestealer player I WANT TO STEAL ALL THE TANKS
Amazing army
Think that photo would have been taken in the boer war
can you do an edit version where we can get a glimpse of each miniature or groups of miniatures in detail please
I started in 94 when a gw opened in my city!!! I’m now 34 hahaha
these are the only videos i watch on this site, love the army showcases. it would be better if they were less wide shots and more closeups of the army itself. It's an army showcase not talking heads showcase.
Part of the army showcase in our minds is the person behind it as well. Who they are and why. So we’re looking to show that as well. That said. We will take that suggestion on board and try to do that more for future ones!
Very Cool Army
Increíble ejercito y su temática espectacular :D
🔥🔥🔥
