I like these evolution videos! Pirates hold a special place in my heart because I remember being 10 years old sitting in front of the entrance to Nautlius the night before the release, staying up till 2am thinking it was going to just magically open with a bunch of other maplers lol. Someone even summoned Big Boss and a balrog. It was the first class I ever saw added to the game and represented a big shift in Maple. I still remember people crowing around a level 63 bucc on the Orbis ride because he got to lv 63 in only a week which boggled our noob minds, spending months to get to 2nd job.
Lol, you read my mind.. i used to play back then.. i needed months.. almost a year to get to 3rd job with my hermit.. created a pirate when it was first realized.. everyone were so curious about “the first new job ever”.. miss those times but i still prefer how the game is on right now
My first experience with a new class was at 3am watching my sister play her cleric on her way to get her priest advancement and going down orbis tower. Halfway down we were hit with the Cygnus Knights trailer without any knowledge of a new class being released. Needless to say we were confused but hyped.
The OG super saiyan skill was my favorite, cause whoever was in charge of the bucc loved anime, DBZ, then you can use Shadow clone Kamehamehas and shadow clone gum gum gatlings
I remember when the Pirates released. I made a new pirate, I remember being a brawler, and it took weeks to get to Level 30. I got to Level 34 Pre Big Bang and was pumped. Made you think how much time people like FangBlade put in to get to Level 200. Crazy. Good times.
God Buccaneer used to have such a good theme, I really wish we still had some version of the Transformation Bucc instead of this Serpent thing... could've just added that as a different class to this day haven't found a class that fills the Buccaneer shaped hole in my heart 😢
Dude thank you for reminding me about barrage when i first got into ms i instantly picked brawler because i love playing characters that use their fist. I fell even more in love with brawler when i saw they had a super sayain form. Took some years off came back to learn they had a kahmehameha blew my mind. Sadly i miss all the dbz stuff now but im still gonna main my bucc because he holds a special place in my heart
The laser part of buccs life line was what I hated the most. Because the transformation appeared behind me on attacks. I hated that. I wanted to be the one to attack
I like “fighter” style classes and the update for buccaneers have been good in my opinion. Though, I do think TB/Striker is better because I like the shark theme more lol. I’ll be switching my main to TB once the winter update comes.
Man, I don't know how to feel about modern Maple. It's nice to see trying to stay relevant and some classes look really cool but the simplicity of the old school still does it for me. Good times.
Fun fact, you can get both the old school transformation mount (as a bucc) and old school pirateship mount (as a gun slinger). Just job advance to get both mounts.
This is off topic. But could you make a video on the experience of playing woth friends (co-op/parties)? Maplestory has always been a fun grind game and when my friends were looking for something everyone could play together at the sane time, I couldn't think of anything in particular that would make maplestory as compelling to play with friends given my on and off solo player experience. I've tried to Google videos on the multi-player experience of maplestory but nothing comes up. Anything to add besides (there's party quests and bosses)?
You can complete quests and dailies together and can PQ and boss together but grinding is usually done solo for the best results. Most people care about leveling fast and since grinding is what you do in maplestory 99% of the time there isn't any viable multi-player experience besides what I mentioned above.

I didn't like the hook bomber replacement. I would much rather have him shoot a big straight ray like he did before. They could just have changed the color of it and maybe have some special water/lightning theme to it.
Mutiny update ruined the pirate class for me. The removal of the gimmics of the 2nd 3rd and 4th for corsair and brawler made the classes have nothing more for them but the "pirate" aesthetic.
Either I'm wrong or no one ever mentions that in their 2013 update they remade Thunder breaker and gave bucc the old tb skills. Not sure if it's just a weird memory or not anymore lol
buc when released was the most boring class to be honest. felt like a worse warrior. he was so slow, had slow skills and no exciting skills, only 4th job dragon strike was cool but it was slow aswell and unsatisfying

Overall I’d say the Buc has improved over time, however they should NOT have gotten rid of the super saiyan transformation in the most recent update 😢

You can get saiyan transformation as a mount after 4th job for free if I'm not mistaken.
I was so happy to see that it at least appeared in one of their V skills but even that is gone too now. I'll forever miss it too
The transformation while cool looking thematically, was atrocious mechanically.
Plus Sea Serpent theme fits way better since you know..it's a pirate.

I miss the blue and red transformations from the OG pirate, I was so sad when they removed them, even if we can still get an aesthetic mount
