Episode 12: Grand Canyon of Kentucky (Cumberland Falls)

July 4th weekend in Kentucky. We spent the day at Cumberland Falls State Resort Park and it was amazing. Cliffside views, rivers, waterfalls and good food! Just like in Tennessee the forecast was calling for rain but as you will see we didn’t get one drop, just sunshine from start to finish! I never knew Kentucky was so beautiful, definitely looking forward to coming back in the future!

Linville Gorge, NC. Another great Grand Canyon of the east. Wilderness area, great hiking trails, serious rugged rock climbing.

Cumberland Falls State Resort Park, just 15 miles off of I-40, was an exceedingly beautiful spot.
1:45 This verdant forest wonderland blesses its visitors with remarkable sights of a roaring waterfall and sounds of flowing water and smells of rich, moist, peaty earth.
3:18 Not to mention, meeting new people and sharing a hike was a treat too.
Kentucky, what a first impression and introduction. It was a pleasure to meet you.
