    According to IMDB: Ina Anders was born on April 26, 1931 in Jarn, Alvsborg, Sweden as Aina Solveig Gunvor Andersson. She was an actress, known for Blekitny aniol (1959), Med fara för livet (1959) and It's a Great Life (1954). She died on June 11, 1978 in Los Angeles County, California, USA.
    IMDB says she appeared on You Bet Your Life in 1959 as a 'bit actress,' and yet she said she was a nurse. Maybe acting was not her day job?

    Ina Anders backstory. She was not a nurse, but rather an actress who immigrated from Jarn, Sockew, Dalsland, Sweden. and arrived into the United States in 1951. If she didn't believe in marriage until attaining the age of 30, well in hindsight perhaps. She married twice. Her first marriage was at age 24 on December 17, 1955 in Las Vegas, NV to Philip M. Kailavros; and he was a Greek. They divorced in August, 19, 1958. Also, She married a second time in 1963 to Ernest Raboff who was 42 years old, and Ina was 32 years old. Ina's real birth date is April 26, 1931. She died June 11, 1978.And when she said she has about 4 more years until she's 30 to consider getting married, well that wasn't true. She was already 26 years old, and she only had two more years. But actresses always say they're younger than what they really are.

    • @artbyraboff
      @artbyraboff 4 года назад +7

      I'm her son. She was a nurse before becoming an actress. She never hit it big. A few bit parts, a remake, and then a couple of game shows. By 1978. her liver gave up and she died from decades of alcohol abuse. It was not a pleasant experience for her, or us, her children. @LostInMySpace: Curious how you were able to find out so much of her backstory. I knew my mother had been married to a Greek-American doctor at some point, but never knew his name or, that they had gotten married in Vegas.

      @@artbyraboff Joakim; I did some research and found their records. It was not difficult to do . But yes, Ina Anders first was married to Philip M. Kalavros. I misspelled his name as Kailavros; there is no i in his name. In fact, his real full Greek spelled name is Philolaos M. Kalavros. Their home was 5148 Yarmouth Ave. in Encino, CA. Philip was buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Hollywood Hills, CA. He was born June 2, 1914, and died October 24, 1997. I found their record in the December 16, 1955 index that they were married Dec. 17, 1955. It looks like he got his license in Iowa in 1933.
      Oddly, Philip Kalavros claims he was going to marry the actress Linda Darnell. There was an article in the Independent Press-Telegram newspaper dated May 9, 1965 article entitled "Doctor at Memorial Rite said Linda Darnell Planned to Wed. Apparently, Philip Kalavros gave the eulogy for Linda Darnell, the actress who died in an apartment fire in Chicago while visiting friends there. Third degree burns over 90% of her body. Article states, Dr. Philip M. Kalavros, a dermatologist of Sherman Oaks, disclosed the thwarted marriage plans as he delivered the eulogy at the Burbank Home and Family Life Historical Museum" He told the newspaperman that he and Linda Darnell had been engaged for about two years, and had planned to marry sometime after Easter. Easter fell eight days after Linda Darnell died. You can also view on RUclips, the documentary entitled, Linda Darnell-Documentary. May both of these beautiful women, Ina Anders, and Linda Darnell rest in peace. Joakim, if you have any other questions, let me know. Tednite8@aol.com

      @@lostinmyspace4910 Thanks for the update. Seems you have access to interesting databases...If I remember correctly, their marriage didn't last very long because Phillip wanted children and my mother didn't at the time. I think she became infatuated with the Hollywood scene at the time. I know she was friends or at least friendly with Robert Blake (Baretta) and Sammy Davis Jr who was married to fellow Swede Maybritt Wilkens. If you look up my father Ernest Raboff on IMDB you'll see he too had a bit part career in Hollywood. I heard as a child (not sure from whom) that my parents met on the set of the Sinatra film "Man with the Golden Arm". But I've also heard that she was introduced to him via a Swedish woman named Margit Falk that my father was married to after WWII.

    What happened to the old man win in a played alone and spun the wheel? I don’t think the old man had crossed the line and was inappropriate but he was indeed crazy as a coot and needed to be escorted off the stage because the men in the white coats were waiting for him undoubtedly. Maybe it was just his bedtime. Wow did he look much older. According to his admission he would’ve been born in 1896. People who are 65 today usually look quite a bit younger. I must agree with another commentor that he would’ve been perfect playing a Gabby Hayes type character in any western especially that laugh of his. Do we know why Ina only lived to be 47 years of age? Sad. I’m going to check her listing on IMDb and see if it shows anything.
