I would add to the grid tip: if you push "G" twice, you can enter the value you desire for the grid. This is even more useful when you have set the origin point in a point of interest by pushing E then O then S "E + O + S" (edit, origin, set).
Most of Altium can be reached by pressing the first letter or one of the letter of the menus in the correct order (what you do with your mouse, look closely and you'll see that almost every function has a letter underscored - if you push them in sequence as you would select them by mouse, it does the same thing).
I also use a lot of "D + U" pour design upload from schematic to board. T+M (Tools, Markers) to remove design rules check markers (when errors are in green all over the place). T+G+A (Tools, polyGon, repour All) to repour polygons after modification, 1+D+R ("1 dimension", Design, Redefine board shape) to redefine the board shape... etc etc :) hope that helps!
