    Funny thing is that I just thought of something similar to the Gyro Coaster while letting my mind wander at work today. But I also thought about giving the riders the ability to change the orientation of their cars with some sort of control stick, and that each cluster of seats would be mounted similar to the wing coasters, since that is where my train of thought started from. I'm thinking each cluster would consist of two seats, or maybe up to four, with one rider each being able to control the pitch, yaw, and roll of the seat cluster, allowing orientations as basic as the standard forward, or extreme as facing upside down and to the side.
    Finally, I figure that the ride cars would be subjected to a high amount of positive G-forces, so the gyro mechanisms/seat mounts should be designed in a manner not unlike the centrifuges used to train fighter pilots and astronauts, creating plenty of margin for stress.

    I've seen others speculate that the Fabbri concept was more them saying "here's the elements we can put on a coaster" as opposed to actually offering that specific layout to a park.

    • @MaloneysCoasters
      @MaloneysCoasters  8 месяцев назад

      That would make sense, but the way they just dropped it on their RUclips channel and even gave it a model name was particularly baffling.

    I think the Figure 8 Coaster could easily be done with Intamin's new launch systems, allowing many unconventional launches, even upside down launches, I think there could be one with slowly going into the top loop, with a powered launch or some sort of slow launch giving an insane stall at the top, which could even be taller than the main lift.

  • @simonr6268
    @simonr6268 8 месяцев назад +1

    Regarding the polercoaster, there is Storm Coaster at Dubai Hills Mall, which even if it doesn't share the scale of the originial concept clearly has a similar layout. It is built in the inside of a structure and not on the outside, but in my opinion it would be still fair to call a polercoaster.

    • @MaloneysCoasters
      @MaloneysCoasters  8 месяцев назад +1

      This is actually an interesting debate - Intamin were sued by US Thrill Rides for suggesting that Storm Coaster was a Poler Coaster when it’s actually a completely separate ride model. So unfortunately it definitely still hasn’t been built yet 😑

    • @simonr6268
      @simonr6268 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@MaloneysCoasters Nah the court doesn't determine the truth, only who has the rights to the name.
      If Intamin had secured the term Giga Coaster when Millenium Force was built, would it be right to say B&M hasn't built any Giga coasters?

    • @simonr6268
      @simonr6268 8 месяцев назад

      I feel that a polercoaster is not really a ride model itself. It just describes a coaster being built around a building using the building as supports. Could be an Intamin multilaunch or a B&M invert, if the track is using the building it is a polercoaster.

    • @MaloneysCoasters
      @MaloneysCoasters  8 месяцев назад +1

      @@simonr6268 True, but considering there’s a whole lawsuit in which Intamin were forced to clarify that Storm is not a Poler Coaster, I’d say we can safely say it’s not one.
      And by your definition, was the Dragon Coaster at the Myer Centre a Poler Coaster?

    • @simonr6268
      @simonr6268 8 месяцев назад

      @@MaloneysCoasters No Dragon coaster wouldn't fit my definition. It is structurally in the middle of the building and not using the structure as support.
      I just don't think we should let a company be the sole definer of the term especially of a coaster they never have and probably never will build.

    The drifting coaster (better "a" drifting coaster) was built by Mack at Finlands Linnanmäki park. They called it e-motion coaster and it´s apparantly not very e-ffective.
