Why is there so much of a gap between America and Korea in the knowledge, research and study of ADHD? Every "educational" video of Korean doctors and psychiatrists usually talks mostly of symptoms and not what's actually going on in the brain with our neurotransmitters, and all of the symptoms that are listed are so general without explaining why especially ADHD would trigger those particular symptoms. I feel like one of the reasons why there is so little known about ADHD in a REAL sense in Korea is because there aren't many interviews or case studies of actual human beings that have ADHD and most work is done through textbooks and lectures. So many Korean videos I've watched on RUclips don't talk about the strengths of ADHD, and they all seem to say that medicine will cure ADHD, which is impossible with our technology and medicine today. Medicine and therapy can only treat symptoms, not cure or get rid of ADHD. Also, why is Adderall never talked about as a potential medicine to help regulate ADHD in Korea?

Also, why do all these Korean ADHD videos talk about how children with ADHD do poorly in school? That is not always the case, which is why so many children, especially females with the inattentive type of ADHD, formerly known as ADD, don't get diagnosed or the help that they need. ADHD does not measure how smart or not smart a person is, but rather the inability to control focus and motivation. There are dumb people with ADHD and there are extremely smart people with ADHD. Many people with ADHD go into professions in music, art, business entrepreneurship, science and technology because their ability to think differently and more creatively give them an advantage in working in these areas.
