Every look was just fire during the confessions era. I honestly think the 70s disco look suits her. She has never looked better in my opinion. I also loved that she genuinely seemed to be having fun all tbe time too.

Agreed. This era was thought out perfectly and genuinely. Respectfully, I don't think she'll ever top it. Everything about this era was on point, from promotion, touring, visuals, concept, everything.
And not only her beauty itself but also her confidence, stage presence, concept... I mean talking about the whole package, she was just stunning.

Really, it's almost unbelievable how fit and good looking she was here at 47. She pulled it off, she was hot and relevant at that age for young people and teenagers and nobody could deny it. That's what this performance is too - it's undeniable.
That's just hard work, drive and intelligence. This is her last truly great era where she reinvented herslef and outdid herself again. Incredibly impressive.

She looked great, but IMO the height of her attractiveness was age 37 during bedtime story era or something to remember era. Here she looked a bit tired, thin and drawn but definitely not near 50. Maybe a beautiful and fit 43 year old woman

For me the height of Madonna and her beauty was always the all eras between 1990-2006. All the unique looks in those years suited her damn well. I never paid so much attention to her actual age back then and thus never realized how old she actually was during each era, I always thought she was way younger, so it's mindblowing to realize that now that I'm older myself.

Back in the 2000's was music was still so visually and musically captivating, because you would actually still watch all these videos and performances ON THE TV and it was still so exciting to see your favorite artist at number 1 !!! It was just a shame that radio didn’t play her as much. After Hung Up, it was like all her efforts disappeared. This was one of her most fantastic eras and the American public just shrugged their shoulders.

American radio blacklisted her for her 'American Life' album which came out a few years before this. And also - the most excited I was ever to hear a new Madonna album was MDNA. The first few tracks made me literally scream with glee when I first heard them - it was everything I'd wanted Madonna to do, calling back to her legacy. So yeah. :)

The whole Confessions on a Dance floor album was thought to be an homage to disco music by sampling little elements from old songs to make new ones (she used also some of her own 80s songs: e.g. Forbidden Love has the same name of a completely different song from her album Bedtime stories)

This was the first definitive "proof" of the US ageism against artists. For a song to top 41 countries' charts and yet only peak at #7 in the US is beyond comprehension to me. Much of the charts back in 2005 relied on airplay as a factor in chart position. I rarely heard the song ever played on any popular radio station and in California of all places. This song should have gone down as one of her biggest songs in her entire history.
It wasn't ageism. American Life killed her on pop radio.
Ageism still affects her today though. Its like just you are old you cant have fun.

It was Decade End #22 in Germany and #66 in UK. In US did not chart on Decade End Hot 100 Chart but it was the #01 Dance Club Song of the decade.

Love and agree with Zairoh's reply. I remember the time her 'videos' , especially Like a Prayer, could only be watched after 10 pm at night. Madonna really was a torch bearer for womens' rights and opening up topics then taboo. What was then considered 'alternative' lifestyles were kept underground and suppressed until Madonna shed light and celebrated the right of then marginalized groups to live as mainstream and celebrate! She really did open up new ground. The torch has been handed town. Thank you Madonna ❤️

I’ve always loved Madonna ever since I saw her the first time. Incredible talent, independent artist who took what she wanted when she wanted it.

This is my favorite Madonna era. I loved her retro 70's hairstyle plus she sounded and looked at her best.
Madonna’s best era, album and concept, I agree that she never looked more beautiful, sexy and elegant. On the other side, Hung Up is one of her best singles and the one that brought her to a mainstream audience back some years ago, hope this is included on the next tour but not a rock or stripped down version, something that make justice to her passion for dance and respect ABBAs sample.

People can say whatever they want about Madonna but the fact is that she is and will be the reigning Queen of Pop until such time she chooses to pass the torch! She's an absolute genius and her long career and vast catalog of fantastic and innovative music illustrates that.
