Like this performance feels like yesterday but this took place during the marriage equality era in the U.S. For that I am thankful. For Lady Gaga, I am thankful.

I remember in middle/high school people thinking I was so strange for liking her. I got comments like “she kisses girls” or “you know she’s bisexual, right?” and “she’s SO weird”. And I just couldn’t comprehend why that was such a big deal to people and why it held them back from liking her and appreciating her music. Fast forward to today and people are finally starting to understand.
I love this. Gaga is singing live, dancing in latex which isn't easy and the coreo uses all the levels. No stage elements but the egg. It's brilliant. All on live TV during Primetime broadcast. I remember in middle/high school people thinking I was so strange for liking her. I got comments like “she kisses girls” or “you know she’s bisexual, right?” and “she’s SO weird”. And I just couldn’t comprehend why that was such a big deal to people and why it held them back from liking her and appreciating her music. I love this. Gaga is singing live, dancing in latex which isn't easy and the coreo uses all the levels. No stage elements but the egg. It's brilliant. All on live TV during Primetime broadcast. Because yes she’s one of the best singers I’ve ever heard but ok personally I used to feel super connected and safe whenever I listened to her music as a kid. And now I’m older I now know I’m an enby lesbian but back then I had no clue. And yet some sub conscious part of my brain knew her music was going to be my safe/happy place for over the next 10+ yrs.
