Thanks for your excellent review of the Thomas Nelson NKJV Study Bible. It's a favorite of mine. Thomas Nelson does an excellent job of organizing and publishing bibles.
Great review as always! I really appreciate the thoroughness of all your reviews. I have both of these bibles and love both, but am more drawn to the Nelson visually for some reason. I see they are releasing the latest edition soon with new format and comfort print. I really enjoy the current edition but we will see how it compares to the new shiny edition.
Awesome review! 👍 I have the Holman study Bible so was very interested in your comparison. The links you provided were nothing short of amazing! I definitely plan on getting the Thomas Nelson study Bible after reading your review! Wish I'd seen this before buying the Holman's. After reading the review, I quickly subbed to your channel. Anxious to see your other videos! God bless! 💖
Thomas Nelson has produced the 3rd edition of this full color study bible. The one shown on video is the 2nd edition which I own and the only difference between the two is that the 3rd edition has the Cross-References between the text and the commentary. Whereas the 2nd edition has the references in a middle column between the bible text.
Ok, in the market for one of these. I'm not asking you to debate a theological perspective but which one of these would be the least "reformed" lol. I might open up a can of worms with that question, and you may have answered me before but need a good study bible to recommend and so many seem to be reformed. I am a traditionalist, pre-trib rapture kind of guy. I think study bibles can be great to help younger or just christians that want to advance in their studies without huge investments. Thanks Randy!
Hi Robert. I'll need to get them from my office at the Church to confirm, but I think the Thomas Nelson would be less reformed. I've used their KJV Study Bible more than the NKJV, but I think the notes are similar. The KJV has pre-trib notes. I'll grab them the next chance I get.
Rev I am looking for a Nelson NKJV Study Bible..not the Holman as I already have a Holman,,,but I am finding a multitude of versions and at least 2 editions,,,so I am so confused so which one or two do you recommend??
I'm so glad I got the t nelson study bible. (personal size) the font is a little small but I was debating which one to get. the Holman seems really sparse with very little studies. I hope to get the 3rd edition t nelson someday. can I ask you a question? what is your favorite translation? I really like the NKJV right now.
Randy, near the end, you stated, "if you are interested in the original languages, I'd go with the Thomas Nelson." Could you explain why please? Thanks for the review.
Have you com across any bibles like these in the video but with wide margins? I've been hunting, but it's so hard to tell from most online bible stores or Amazon how wide the margins actually are.

Delusional. All translations are just that... TRANSLATIONS. Unless you're holding the original Greek and Hebrew that the authors wrote with pen and paper you have a TRANSLATION! CLUELESS

Thomas Nelson and you can't go wrong, I've had the NKJV complete edition by Nelson for years now, no other can beat it
like the way you know your subject and are calm and easy to listen to. Best reviewer by far
Thank you!!
Can’t believe I’ve only just seen this! Excellent comparison, Randy. Thanks for the reference!! Lewis
Thanks!
Thanks for the review. I just ordered this Bible.

I have an esv study bible heirloom edition and I'm impressed with the Thomas Nelson nkjv study bible that I see here
Thanks again for doing this Randy, it was really helpful.
You're welcome Lewis!!
I like the colors, pictures and graphs. But, also word studies. Some times it’s hard to find one that has it all.
I have the personal size Thomas Nelson NKJV, the print is smaller but with my new glasses I can read it with no problem.

I like several, but KJV and NKJV are what I use the most.
Randy, near the end, you stated, "if you are interested in the original languages, I'd go with the Thomas Nelson." Could you explain why please? Thanks for the review.
Hi Brian. It's because of the word studies. It has more Hebrew and Greek definitions.
@@BibleBuyingGuide thank you!!
Bible Would it be beneficial to have both bibles for the notes, referencing and articles? Would show the KJV Study Bible?
Just get one and get a one volume commentary book
Can you tell me, do these bibles come from the Byzantine text or the Alexandrian text?
So which one is better?
around the 20:00 mark, I heard him say the Thomas Nelson
Have you seen and what do you think of Ryrie study bible ?
Hi Gleason. It's been many years since I've seen one. I don't remember much about it. Sorry.
Have you com across any bibles like these in the video but with wide margins? I've been hunting, but it's so hard to tell from most online bible stores or Amazon how wide the margins actually are.
I haven't seen any with wide margins. :-(
Those are the journaling bibles! Very wide margins to notate right alongside the text of the Bible. Amazon has a lot of those in stock, check it out!
Like the KJV comparisons, Nelson wins again. (Why won't you admit it?)
I think I heard him at around the 20:00 mark, Thomas Nelson
I prefer a leather bible.

💟💟💟💟🙏🙏🙏🙏
Only the KJV is the real word of GOD.
Keep away from false bibles ie nkjv.
And what makes it an false bible. genuine question.
Brother no translation is completely perfect. God bless you

But we'll stay away from fake comments
