    one thing worth noting is that each usb port on your computer will need to be configured separately. and the label for the ndis usb gadget will vary if you use a different usb port on your computer. you can personalise the name. i named mine pizero0, pizero1, etc depending on which port i plugged it in. internet connection sharing will need to allowing sharing to the port your pi is currently plugged into.
    i was able to configure it to run on a mac as well.
    this video would have saved me a lot time when i tried to configure this a couple of months ago. back then i soldered a usb male type a connector. my pitfalls based on documentations i followed did not mention ssh disabled by default or other details here and there. but i finally got it working. thanks for putting it all together in 1 video that is easy to follow.

    It looks so easy, alter a few files and boot up. Out of the box for many this process doesn't work no matter what you do on the PI, which editor you use or file writer. To be able to ping raspberry.local a zeroconf program needs to be installed like Bonjour. If you haven't got Bonjour .local won't work, having Bonjour doesn't guarantee .local will work.

      @iblackfeathers 7 лет назад

      Till Grimminger i may be wrong and i have not tried this myself but the rpi 3 cannot receive power through its default type a usb ports and the microusb input is power only. so the approach would be different: 1. points on the board that allow for the usb's data + and - . 2. one big constraint is the rpi3's power requirements. some claim it needs a stable power source with at least 2.5amps for reliability. host computer usb port power varies and most are underpowered for the rpi3's needs. unless you use a separate power source like a suitable usb powerbank for portability or just plugging it in to the mains power, then data+/- for communication to the computer might be what is needed. then after that, configuring.

    • @Seytonic

      USB is 500ma, not enough to power a pi 3.

    • @roguesecurity
      @roguesecurity 7 лет назад +1

      I am able to power pi 3 with laptop usb and login via pre configured wifi. I guess the problem is the USB is only for power, not data transfer.

    bro how to hack WiFi network protected with wpa/wpa2 PSK with WPS disabled.... I have handshake file but it takes long time to crack and atlast it's failed to get password ..... there is any way to find length of the router password and get that password from handshake.
    . and I have a doubt that can we connect WiFi network with fake authentication like any code or word..

    "I have a few PI Zeros lying around" Seriously. Seriously, if you go to the german amazon side and look for "Raspberry PI Zero" there will be cases. cases only. Alright and the basic PIs but still these things are hard to get around here :(

    • @Seytonic
      @Seytonic  7 лет назад +1

      Try 'pimoroni', I'm sure they ship to Germany, I've got 14 lying around by now, hehe. I should probably stop.

      Well I just had a look and every single set is gone also they restricted it to 1 Pi Zero per order... Guess this thing is just too famous?
