Really digging these new videos, man! Getting me so psyched for my local resort to open!
Heck yeah! Where’s that for you?
Loving these reviews dude. We’ll see you over there in Feb. The more info we’ve got from your reviews before arriving will be very much appreciated. Catch ya on the hill!
Sick! Happy to help! Hope to see you on snow!
Going to PC in January for the first time. Hyped!
Stoked for you!!
I ride in Banff, one day I will use this guide to check out Utah! Thanks for the videos man!
My pleasure. I need to get out there!
Thanks for making these videos!
My pleasure! Hope they help!
Can't wait to watch this tonight!
Me too! 🍿
Loving this resort review series🙌🏻😁came to solitude, brighton and the bird last season and definitely hoping to get more Utah resorts in the near future 😊
Right on! Hope these help!
@@BoredProgression definitely 😁🙏🏻
Great review. I’ve never been riding at PC. In the bucket list for sure. I’ve skied DV and the ability to just roll up to the resort is very underrated
Thanks! Hope you get a chance to check it out!
cant wait to see PC fully open and explore, hopefully there are some good dumps to come soon
Me too! 🙏❄️
Excellent stay chill.
For sure!
Solid review my dude! Agree with all the points forsure. Feel very lucky to live right across from Canyons. Def has a lot to offer. The powder day experience is definitely much less hectic and tricky than the cottonwoods.
Yeah dude. Thanks for showing us around! You riding anywhere besides PC/Canyons this year?
@@BoredProgression Got a bird pass again this year so I’ll be splitting the time between those two forsure like last year. Ready for the hose to turn on 🤞🏻
Awesome review! Thanks for the information. Do you have any tips/advice to avoid waiting in long lift lines at Park City? Like crowded areas to avoid etc . . . . Thanks.
The more you get further up the mountain and away from the payday area, the less crowded it gets.
Riding less techincal terrain or a few inches less > sitting in traffic. I love Bird and Brighton, but driving sucks.
The lack of powder panic seems great as well.
I have to agree with all of the above
Spot on. I'd love to hit the other resorts more but The Canyons is my jam because of cost and consistency.
Right on. Makes sense.
I agree with the no powder panic vibes at PC. Been there twice and feel like I’ve only seen 5% of the mountains because I always get lost. King Kong is dope tho.
Facts.
When I was in jr high and high school, we’d get season passes for being on the honor roll for $100-$150 to either park city or canyons. I loved them both, but always preferred canyons. New Year’s Day 2023 I went back to park city for the first time in about 20 years and my buddy led the way. The first half we spent around Mconkey’s, then after lunch he took me on a gondola I’d never been on before. As much as I liked the big bowls in the morning, the afternoon runs were even better. I didn’t realize I was riding Canyons runs till i watched this video, and it’s funny I still prefer them over Park City as an adult. Love to go back some day, but I typically just go to Brighton, the Bird, or Sundance, depending on who I’m visiting in town.
Wow. Haha. That’s wild. Thanks for sharing that!
I miss the days when I could find park city lift tickets on Liftopia for $45😢
That sounds delightful.
We all know it but single day tickets are crazy expensive to force people into epic pass or epic day pass where it comes out to ~$70 per day. If you have the epic pass and hammer it, the whole affair becomes cheap if you amortize
I did 31 days on my pass last year which comes out to $20 per day
wasn't that just for the canyons? the canyons used to have some crazy deals back in the day.
@@Gary-np7hl it was park city but I also remember scoring deals at the canyons too! The good ol days
I miss the days when my student season pass was $99 at park city mountain resort.
The description you just gave is pretty much spot on with Heavenly. I am “local” here. I live here. Although I moved to summit county Colorado in 2007 in my 20s then Tahoe in my 30s and now next year 40s im moving to park city for a decade then im retiring in Hawaii. Got a realtor connect out there?
Nice! I actually do. Check out The Lipich Group. They’re good people. Snowboarders too. lipichrealestate.com
Ski’d PC this past week. Thought it was ok, but not great. Did the Canyons as well. I know its a bad year for snow. Get it, but even w this year’s bad conditions all over north america, preferred the terrain at Vail, Whistler and Kicking Horse. Not to mention the advance booking for parking, cost of parking, and one road out of there made the experience even less desirable.
It has been a VERY bad start to the season. It definitely is lacking a little bit in terrain if you like steeper, more rocky stuff but guaranteed, there’s literally thousands of acres you didn’t get to see.
I’m thinking about booking a trip next season December 7th-14th. Is this too early to come to get a good experience at PC?
It’s less likely for there to be a good base of snowpack built but not impossible. Historically, January/February has more snow by then.
1st time in Utah in the following the month, what’s would be your recommendation in price/difficulty for a intermediate snowboarder and my Beginner girlfriend? Where should I go? i was thinking in nordic valley or woodward but not sure how is this one, is park city a good option for us?
Nordic would be good for mostly beginner terrain. Inexpensive too. Park City is better/bigger for both beginner and intermediate terrain but everything’s more expensive in PC. I wouldn’t recommend Woodward unless you only wanna ride park and have her watch you ride park lol. Overall best option IMO would be PC.
Hope to see ya out there in February 9-12
Lesssgoooo!
A bit surprised by the high score, but the place is huge and you can definitely have a crazy good day out there.
4 stars for me.
Fair. To be honest I was a little surprised when I added up the totals but to me each category scored true.
@@BoredProgression I completely agree. After watching your video, I really couldn't argue with any of your scores... and let's be honest - your method was way more scientific than mine - which was based more on the "stoke" and a comparison to the other places I love here in UT.
Bp lets go
Yeah 🐕!
Привет бро ! У вас отличные горы, жаль меня там нет))
Thanks! Yeah I’m very grateful.
Park city Lift tickets are stupid! just looked for two days in March, $568!
Yup. Individual day passes are completely out of hand.
do you know what the story is with the lifts and the city of park city? should i care or not?
I’m not sure what you mean.
@@BoredProgressionthe city is preventing them from replacing or building new lifts and vail has had to send them to whistler. IDK why?
@@Gary-np7hl This is news to me. 🤷♂
First
Good video of course
Haha. Thanks! And thanks for being here first!! 🥇
I heard PCM & Canyons is considering a name change to Overpriced & Overrated.
Seems like a questionable marketing decision. 🤣. If you’re talking about day passes they are definitely overpriced but the epic local pass is like $600. That’s one of the cheapest options.
But it's still "vile resorts! Makes it 😝😝😝😝horrrible!
Lol
...you are not a local
Lol. Where am I a local then? Been living here for almost 6 years.
Actually he is a local, just not a native of Utah like myself.
