Thank you for sharing this! I have Barrett’s Esophagus and I’m 28 years old. I believe it’s from the years of R-CPD. I cannot burp whatsoever. I have bloating, chest pain, gurgling noise, flatulence, and constipation. I 1000% believe untreated long term R-CPD has caused me to have Barrett’s Esophagus. The problem is, trying to convince doctors that THIS caused it. We need more awareness on this condition. Keep posting videos! I love your videos

Hello Dr Bastian. My name is Julen. Two weeks ago I had the rcpd intervention. Thank you very much for all the content you have uploaded to the internet. Now I can burp. I have a question. I am a singer, and since I had Botox, I have a hard time reaching the high notes. I feel like I've lost the high frequencies. Do you know why that is? Has this happened to any of your patients? Thank you so much.
Is any ability to burp entirely exclusionary for the diagnosis and botox treatment of R-CPD? I have many of the symptoms listed (globus sensation, gurgling noises, fullness with meals, bloating) but am able to burp with very intentional effort. As a child I could not burp, but over time taught myself. I would describe my ability to burp like cocking a gun. I have to almost load the burp myself and try to release it. EGD's have been unremarkable. PPI therapy has not made any discernible difference. Diet changes have proven only mildly effective. I am convinced that my Cricopharyngeus muscle is either hypertonic, in spasm, or otherwise dysfunctional in some way. What should be slight insult to my throat reliably causes an exaggerated response and increase in symptoms (a cold, a throat swab, swallowing a sharp piece of food, swallowing something thats too hot, reflux when I do rarely experience) Symptoms all began the morning after an extreme bout of emesis and retching in 2007. Very open to exploring botox treatment to see if relaxing this muslce will relieve my symptoms.

Hi Dr, just had 200 units injected and feel like Im getting all the air out, still have constant pain in the whole stomach and below, do all the stretched organs heal or can R-CPD cause long term symptoms of gastroparesis (slow motility) like the oesophageal dysmotility disorder that i have been diagnosed with or might it be a different issue ? thanks.
SIBO is one of the side diagnoses. Many who have R-CPD as the main issue are told SIBO is the main issue...The key is to understand and match one's self to the syndrome of R-CPD. If you match it is possible that is the main problem for you.

Doctor l burp all day before and after meals, l had h pylori but it cured, what treatment can you recommend me for that too much burping?

No antibiotics work for me and sibo is causing me crazy symptoms
