- Ripping the Streets in my Mitsubishi GTO! In today's video I give you a closer look at my 1991 Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo that I currently have for sale. The GTO also known as the 3000GT in the USA is somewhat of a forgotten about car. It is definitely underrated and an incredible car to drive. It is powered by a twin turbo 6G72 that doesn't disappoint. The full time AWD hugs the corners great! I will definitely have to do some more videos with this awesome car. My gto twin turbo was parked up for 6 years, so last week I went to start it up with jump leads( dead battery ). it start up in the first turn .I couldn't believe how reliable these cars are , i love Japanese build quality and these cars are really bloody fast ,glued to the seat fast. Where I live these thing are bloody expensive .

@@paologarcia8541 yes, outside on the driveway. The only issue I had with this car (my falt) i left it running and the petrol finnished which burned out my ecu (£250) .

Sold my 300zx TT, and S14a to focus on my 3kGT VR-4..as I love it so much.
Apparently the VR-4 was the fastest JDM car made in the 90s! Google it!

That's the best way to market the GTO. Get in it and drive. That's the first drive I have seen of it. I like the front end the wing not so much. If u can get active areo on it again especially the rear I think you will have a bigger pool of buyers. Either way she needs more air time to sell.

YEEEAAA! AWD Baby!!
4WD* big difference. The GTR is AWD (its 100% 2wd - rear in this case - when you drive normally and only when it gets shock/load or wheelspin, it switches some power to the front until it has grip and then goes back to 100% rwd. better for top speed, longevity, cornering and MPG. The GTO is 4WD. all 4 wheels are mechanically linked at all times in the drive train (whether thru 2 open diffs or 1 lsd or 2 or a viscous coupling or not or however). so it's 100% 4 wheels driven. regardless of the split (whether its 60/40 or 40/60. all of them will get some power no matter what). Great for snow, ice, mud, loose gravel. Bad for top speed (4wd suffers from bind) and bad for longevity (high power Evos and Subies are subjected to more stress in both engine and tranny than GTRs because it's forcing 4 wheels to move with engine at all times. even more stress with more HP.

@@jonathonhebert7042 oh here we go. lol. AWD is not a definitive term. "Full time AWD" is basically all 4 wheels under differential power and you can't do anything about it. In Japan they call this 4wd regardless and I will stick by that. Some westerners will argue "no you need a lockout and a hi-low like a truck to be called 4wd" like im probably guessing you are thinking. Whatever. Subaru even calls their 4WD "AWD" even though you can't actually control removing power from the front. (but you can pretend to with the stupid console switch that isn't really gonna shut off the FWD part). Semantics. Useless semantics. it's easier to just remember 4WD = 4 wheels under power and if you don't like it, too bad. and AWD = 2 wheels mostly, 4 wheels when needed, determined by the vehicle's electronics/mechanics. and that is how i'll stick to knowing it.

I have a 92 GTO TT AWD...When the lockdown first hit, PA wasn't allowed people on the roads unless they were frontline workers going to work or people going to the store.
I just played Gran Turismo Sport since a 91 GTO TT AWD is in it so I was just driving my car in VR, instead.
Not sure if they have these for Japanese cars, but I always have these for all my cars, a Fumoto Engine Oil Drain Valve. Make changing oil super easy,

@chen haha yeah I know some stuff about cars lol the GTO VR4 ran a 14.5 in the 1/4 mile with a 5.8 0-60, the GTR R33 ran a 12.9 1/4 mile. It is not faster stock for stock lol

Hrm, it seems Autozone has started selling better strap wrenches. I'd bought some a few years ago (different-looking) and they were pretty much crap. (But yes, good for jars, anyway. :) ) (I guess avoid the red and blue set, people. :) I just have all kinds of different stuff cause I do all kinds of oil changes for people and never know what they'll be on, or what kind of gorilla installed the filters. :)
I think what I use most, really is just those cap types you can put wrenches on. I think they're from Harbor Freight. And I've got one of those clampey spiderey ones which sometimes saves a lot of hassle. :)

It’s a 1996 so it will be imported next year but probably won’t be for sale

I have a 1993 Vr4, now the thing I would say is a con is definitely maintenance. You want to keep up on maintenance regularly or else you can have catastrophic failure. The engine bay is super crowded and can seem intimidating to work on. If it's awd the transfer case is a weak point as well as motor mounts. Pro's is it's a unique car, super fun specifically if you get the twin turbo. Super advanced design for it's time.

Be a sharper car if it had the regular 1993 spoiler on the rear and factory front with maybe just a splitter on the bottom. The car is very nice other than the front facia and hidious rear wing, I know, the gto suppose to have that wing but the regular flat spoiler on the rear and just a front splitter on the front would look much much better on this car, the white looks great
