In this video I share my experience on how to install vinyl sheet flooring into a 31ft. 2007 Class C RV.
I'll be replacing another vinyl sheet product that was installed a year ago that molded in the bathroom area due to a water leak.

Finally a human I can relate too. I needed motivation to install vinyl sheet in my home and all the other videos stress me out with all these rules i can not follow for lack of funds or time. Thankyou for your honesty in this video using weights taping down rolling out in driveway we can make it all work!
Haha thanks! Good luck with the installation😄
Very savvy now onto my diy project with vinyl sheet flooring for my rental property !
Thanks! Good luck with everything 😄👍🏽
Looks really nice! This was very helpful. I just bought similar flooring for my 5th wheel. I am trying to avoid using any sealant because I am sensitive to off gassing. I love the idea of just using the staples and the mounding. If I have any water issue, I will just pull up the staples and let everything dry out completely and then put it back in.
Thanks! Yeah it works out great for that application. Good luck with yours😄
Thanks for sharing, I like the look of the new flooring , I’m about to do my trailers floor which has a water damage around the restroom .
Thanks!
finally an average joe installing flooring, having a hard time and im sure some frustration involved too.. Plus by yourself!! Thank you for this wonderful video, I am currently deciding between attempting this, or peel and stick in my pop-up.
Haha...yes it was frustrating at times but satisfying once complete. I did the peel and stick on another similar RV. Lot of cutting, pieces and then with the movement of the RV driving, some areas started to separate. The pop-up has less area so I'm sure either solution will workout great. Thanks for watching!
You made that look effortless!! Very informative video. Thank you!
Oh thanks. Glad it was helpful 😄
That looked like a pretty big project but it turned out pretty nice. Good job.
Thanks!
Thanks for this. I learned a lot! The template idea is a great one.
Awesome glad it was helpful 😄
Great video showing how easy it is to inadvertently tear the vinyl sheet, thanks for sharing! Just tore out my old rug...pulling up staples today
Thanks! Hope yours turned out nice. Would love to see tge the results.

I love you j
How did it go?
Will use your template technique 👍🏻
Awesome! Hope it goes well
Interesting call not to pull up the other floor. Probably way faster but I'd be worried about water there too. The fitting process is super informative though, thank you
Yeah I figured the original vinyl would act as a water barrier from the wood underneath. It’s been a few months and so far it’s been holding up. Thanks for watching!
Brother i have a small question. If somebody drag something heavy it will be easily ripped off? Isnt it
Yeah probably will.
Where can I get that Vinyl flooring? I got a 36 ft motorhome I want to re floor. I like the wood look! Looks classy. How many sq footage did you buy?
Thanks….I purchased 300sq ft from Lowes. Good luck 😄👍🏽
Good job buddy a lot of stuff to cut around Israel. It looks good. What kind of worries you doing stuff like that when you have so much to deal with round 45s what have you you did a good job though it looks good.
Thanks! It wasn’t that bad once the whole piece was in place
Nice Job Sir. I’m looking to replace my flooring too. Dis you consider vinyl planks as opposed to vinyl sheet? I wonder if vinyl planks are ok to use on trailers/motor homes?
they are. They are heavier but a few of my buddies remodeled their old RV's with vinyl planks.
Thank you. I used vinyl planks on another RV I had and they worked out well. There was some separation in some areas due to the movement of the vehicle but not bad.
Either way works well just depends on your personal preference.
@@landonsarmiento2845 I'm currently looking at flooring and am SHOCKED at how heavy plank flooring is, 30 lbs for 9-12 boards. Not sure I want to add 90+ lbs to my rig.
Hey man this video assured me and I am hiring it done !! Lol looked really tedious. Thanks
Lol…good idea I probably should have done the same. Thanks 😂
Great video! Super helpful. After a while do you find that the vinyl stretches with foot traffic and wrinkles or bubbles being stapled vs glued?
Thanks! So far I haven’t seen any stretching but some water got underneath and it did start to wrinkle in one spot.
I think glue is the best method. This unit is a rental so I knew I would have to change the flooring again and staples are easy to pull back out.
No clue if you still follow your comments on older videos, but I have a couple questions. How has it held up? Would you opt for adhesive after your time with it?
Hi! It’s held up great so far. I use the RV as a rental so it gets a lot of traffic. I didn’t use adhesive because I usually end up replacing the flooring after a few years because of wear and tear and it’s easier to remove without adhesive. If I just used the RV for my personal use I would use adhesive. Hope that helps 😄
Great video! May I ask where do you buy such big rolls in length?
Thanks! I bought mine at Lowes but flooring stores also sell large rolls.
Great job!
Thanks!
Awesome video. Thanks
Thanks!😄👍🏽
Where can I buy this vinyl?
Sorry for the late reply. I bought the vinyl from Lowes.
Great video! How has it held so far?
Thank you. Yeah it’s held up well so far. I use the RV as a rental so it gets heavy traffic and it’s still in good shape.
I had a flooring guy do mine in my super c he was 2 hours well worth the 200 he charged me
Just a regular floor guy from the vinyl flooring store?
$200 is well worth the time and effort. Thanks for sharing.
This isn't glue down material?
It is glue down material but the staples were easier for me having done it before. Glue is a great option 👍🏽😄
Trowel out an adhesive with a V notch trowel my friend. Allow to cure for alloted time on the adhesive and push and smooth out, makes the sheet flooring a lot more durable...
Thanks for the tip 😄
Thanks for the tip
Nice work. They never have any good patterns in Vinyl. Only ugly ones.
Thanks. I agree😂
