You're an absolute genius and I'm glad I stumbled upon this video, I've been wracking my brain on how I would hang my saw on the wall and get it off the floor!
Finally found a great video on a wall mount like this. I’ve been kicking the idea around for awhile but it’s nice to have an example to work off of. Thanks! Also, Go Vols!
It's interesting to see your videos since you're doing the same things I want to do. I truly appreciate that you take the time to make the videos, as I know how much time it takes to do a video. 5 minutes of content takes about 4 hours to do. :) Keep up the great work, and the details (which you do) are important and often overlooked.
Great idea. Trying to clean up my garage as well, or get as bunch off the ground as possible using dead space. Did you contemplate hanging that utility cart w/ the saw still attached? That was my original thought to do, but this gives me a backup if thats a bad idea.
Thanks! Looked everywhere for this! I have a Dewalt miter saw. Can I use the rigid mounts and a rigid miter stand? Or would these mounts fit on a Dewalt stand?
Exactly. I'm looking to see if anyone has tried using a sliding mitre saw that is mounted vertically on a wall (like a panel saw). Has anyone tried it?
... and some big honkin' stepper motors, articulated arms, and an Arduino controller allowing you to control the whole thing with your cell phone from your recliner on the other side of the shop. Yep!
Any reason not to leave it on the stand fold up against the wall? After-all, you’ll still need to store the stand. Only concern is the angle of the blade on the stand when upright. Not sure if the weight of the saw at an angle will cause it to lose 90 degrees?
@@kehlmeier thanks, did this as well using your idea. For anyone in the future 1-1/4in spaced about 5.5in center to center works great for ryobi mounts. I tried 5.75in at first but it looked a little too wide so I went with my gut on the 5.5in
Thanks Anthony! Used your great ideas with a few little tweaks (wooden shovel shafts). My Ridgid (R4210) locks in like a champ!
@@pauledwards514 oooo that’s a good one using the shafts

Once again, the best ideas are the simplest. I was so over thinking a storage solution. Thank you very much.
Great video! I just mounted using 1" black gas pipe and elbows. Would not have thought of this without your video. Thanks
It grip well with the 1" diameter?
@@TheVintageEngineer yeah, I believe it’s 1” ID, so fits great.
I googled wall stand and this video came up. Now I don't have to buy one, I can make it now. Thank you!
Just picked up the pipe from Lowe's. Can't wait to make it!

Good to hear!
i dig it man. I might add a wall rack in the shop or garage to keep it up and out of the way. Thanks
Good video I've been thinking of something very similar to hang my miter on wall
Just what I need to do. Thanks for sharing.
Great idea. Haven’t come across anything that good. 👍🏻
Great job. Will be doing this myself.
Great idea and execution
Great job!
Multi use = best money and space saving use

Yeah but it’s too heavy together

I think the Dewalt doesn’t have round bars like the Rigid and others. .
Cut stuff on the wall
Hahahahaha.

Nice. Would be nicer to have it fold out and be ready to use 😉

@@nevillenewman2785 not my thing but I'd like to come to it with a piece of wood in one hand, fold it our with the other, do the cut, fold back.
Thank you for showing how you built this. I have space limitations as well as was thinking of storage solution. Plan on building one myself.

I’ve got the stand up high on the wall as well. So both are off the ground, saving space.
I can lift the stand by itself, but adding the saw is too much to lift all at once.
Could I pull this off with Schedule 40?
I'm wondering the same
I would think I’d you are clamping close to the wood vertical parts then it should work.
I did this but forgot to update. It worked.
