I watched this show as a teenager during its first run on Saturday nights with my family. We howled with laughter. Also, Mary served as a role model for me since she was working in a male dominated field. I don't remember what I thought of the three guys at the time. I now watch the show and these bloopers in my mid fifties and I think the three guys are great looking and very funny. I still laugh. This show has lost nothing over the decades. Thank you for posting the bloopers.
They're all together now. Ed left on August 29th of 2021 and Betty left yesterday. Life is a lot more empty not having them here. They were a great group. There won't be another crew like them. It is sad when good people leave us.
Outstanding! Love the show; love this! I've always been a fan of MTM. The cast had a great chemistry, with Mary being the center, the focal point. Yet she wasn't just the typical "straight man"; she got laughs like the rest of the ensemble. Like Asner, McCleod, and Knight sang near the beginning of this video, she knows what viewers want to see. It might sound like old guy talk (I'm 47), but "they just don't make 'em like this anymore."
Watching these, laughing so hard I am crying. God gained an angel, but tv fans lost a legend. RIP Mary Tyler Moore. May you always know that you turned the world on with your smile
My 2nd all time favorite show.In my opinion the best written show in the history of television. My favorite was Ted.Miss them all so much.I watch 2 episodes a day mon- fri on Decades and watch them on dvd on wknds. It was like watching a joke machine.Ed Weinberger and Stan Daniels have to be the funniest men/ writters ever. Thanks for posting!
Is there a better ensemble cast than this one? Doubtful, and I say that with respect to many other great groups. This one is special. Each and every actor had perfect timing, love for each other, incredible chemistry and the ability to make you feel that you knew them personally, and everything was going to be alright for next 30 minutes. James Brooks, you are a true American genius. Thank you!
The Mary Tyler Moore Show is currently being run on MeTV nightly at 8 pm, eastern. and there's always the DVD's. It's too bad this gag reel wasn't included as an extra. A real treat! Thanks for uploading!
I miss show like this happy days, odd couple,I love Lucy,3 stooges,Laverne and Shirley.I was just a young Blk girl in the ghetto born in 73.I so miss these t.v. shows.
Wow - thanks for posting! I was there in the audience for many of the shows. Such great/fun memories. I saw Gavin sit Betty White on that cake! I am sure they had to edit the audience reaction as we went nuts!
Would like to hear more MTM memories you had. What other scenes/episodes were you there for? Did you see the final show? Were there long lines to get in and did you ever meet someone from the cast or a writer?
@@marks.8969 - So many shows . Lars Affair was favorite! Yep, about 2 hours early to get seat, but worth it! Final show was booked with Industry Friends, as was Rhodas Wedding. Met Cloris, Mary & Betty. Worked years later on Golden Palace with her years later!
@@marks.8969 P.S. - But best Betty story is when she kissed my hand! I was at SAG Awards when she won one year, and extended my hand to shake hers & was complimenting her and she took my hand and kissed it! Have not washed it since - lol
@Sk8FreeWeb Old comment, I know... wanted to let anyone interested know that "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" can be seen on Hulu. The first 3 seasons, at least... for now. Love this show so much. So sad they don't make 'em like this anymore.
First take, something happened to the camera as it rolled off to one side. Second take, Ted was trying not to smile, but failed (I think!). Third take, Ted still couldn't fight off his smile as he barely made it on the set!
I just bought my favorite season, No. 4, on DVD. I can't stop laughing AND recalling watching the shows originally, Saturday nights in the '70s. Looking at the clips, I really think "Mare" started getting her much-profiled cosmetic surgery maybe prior to this show's final season..maybe a slight eyelid job..her face lost the rounder look it had in previous seasons. Always beautiful, though!
Ted prob F*cked up his lines the most, Betty White the least. I wonder what it must be like for the cast working alongside Mary who just happened to be their big boss too (Mary was co-producer with then hubby Grant Tinker as head production company that owned the show). Thanks for the great memories, Mary ! !
Is that Catherine Coulson, the Log Lady, from Twin Peaks, giving the lines at around 3:13? She did work behind the scenes on some things. The hair, the glasses, the sweater all look the same. She even holds the script the way she held the log, if that's her.
This is my favorite sitcom of all time with Seinfeld a close second. But MTM had a much warmer feel whereas Seinfeld was "no hugging, no learning" and was way more cynical. Both great in different ways.
50 Years of the Television Shows Blooper Special Eve (Shelly), Jason George (J.T.), Ali Landry (Rita), Sean Maguire (Donovan), Shannon Elizabeth (Tiffany) and Marques Houston (Kevin) Jennie Garth (Val) and Nick Zano (Vince) Eve (Shelly), Jason George (J.T.), Ali Landry (Rita) and Sean Maguire (Donovan)
I'm not 100% sure of this, marytylermoorerox; just a little connecting-the-dots going on here. I didn't catch this at first, but the username of the RUclips poster is MASNER. Look at his RUclips profile. His first name is Matthew (& he's got a link to mod3 Productions). If you go to this site, & see his pic, then check out IMDB for Matthew Asner (& check out the pic of him THERE also), you'll see they're the same. Matthew Asner, the man who posted this vid, is Ed Asner's son.
I would love it if some nice person would edit together what we have of the boys singing that song. If a RUclips already exists of that I could not find it, nor indeed any reference to it by Googling lyrics, but I love it.
@Bestmanme08 Different strokes.... I think those three shows are VERY different. Comparing The Golden Girls to MASH, or MTM, is like comparing potted plants and lava lamps.
Just had a funny "revelation"..Imagining Mary in alien playing RIPLEY...& Ted or ED as ASH .How that would have changed the picture Drastically for better or worse ;-)
Oh, I miss Mary so much. Rest in Peace, Mary.
I remember so clearly she OWNED Saturday nights. People did not go out and stayed in to watch her show. Me too, lucky to have been young in that era.
She was gorgeous, and funny, and lovely, a dream come true, we loved Mary
This was one of the best shows on TV with a talented, appealing cast.
These bloopers should have been released on the season sets by year!!
This is my favourite show of all time. On a recent trip to the US, bought all the dvd's I could get my hands on-FANTASTIC

Mary Tyler Moore was/Is very much a SWEETHEART!!!

Such a sad day for tv fans; Rest in peace Mary, and thank you for all the laughs and brilliant performances. Godspeed...
I didn't go out on Saturday night until after the MTM show. Every charactor was special. Thanks to every actor for such memeorable moments.
One of the greatest shows ever. Always loved Ed Ted and Gavin.
Man, I miss shows like these. I was just a little kid, but I remembered them. Those were fun days.
Outstanding! Love the show; love this! I've always been a fan of MTM. The cast had a great chemistry, with Mary being the center, the focal point. RIP Mary Tyler Moore. With love.
Thank Lord Jesus for allowing me the opportunity to be a young kid in the 1970's. The best television - period!
And with great shows that would never be allowed today!
Undeniably!
OMG! 10 Years ago? Are you still alive, dude?
No one understands who didn't live then, it was like Camelot compared to today, how was it better? Got an hour?
Watching these, laughing so hard I am crying. God gained an angel, but tv fans lost a legend. RIP Mary Tyler Moore. May you always know that you turned the world on with your smile

Ted Knight, you are missed. Such a brilliant, funny man.
Ironically, he despaired that people thought he was as stupid as the character he played.
Mary Tyler Moore is a beautiful woman! Loved Ted Knight! I have his autograph from when he did his 1985 show 'Too Close for Comfort"
Is there a better ensemble cast than this one? Doubtful, and I say that with respect to many other great groups. This one is special. Some of the finest comic actors that there will ever be on TV....a genius show :)
This exists and it makes me happy.
Good for You. Now tell your boyfriend to really be quiet.
Wow! Ted stays in character even when he screws up! lol
Best sitcom ever!!!
We just bought a video desk of 6 Mary Tyler Moore show, at the end of each show Mary left you with a good feeling and a smile on your face.
So beautiful... so funny... Rest in peace.
@thx291 Unless I'm wrong, I believe Mary was quoting from a song from the musical, A Chorus Line, where one woman sings of wishing she had them.
Hi I agree, Mary was / looks lovely here and the show was highly successful in many ways; breaking new ground. Time to rent the series DVD I think....
Never a dull moment, great comedic acting. Why can't shows like this return instead of all this shite? RIP Mary.
I miss show like this happy days, odd couple,I love Lucy,3 stooges,Laverne and Shirley.I was just a young Blk girl in the ghetto born in 73.I so miss these t.v. shows.
I was just a poor young white child born in 1948 that loved all the same T.V. Shows as You. :-)
*Grace Ross:* I was born in 1956 and I used to enjoy all these shows too - still do, since most of them are on in re-runs at the moment!
GREAT SHOW. And GREAT BLOOPERS TOO...
Lou was the best . they had one of the best group of cast actors ever
Saturday night tv watching. The greatest.
Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! for sharing this!
......and yes, Mary is a babe!
Ted Knight was such a lovable clown - he left us much too early.
Gavin, Ted and Ed are singing the "Moore" song written in a mid-70s issue of MAD Magazine!
I loved this show. I wish all the seasons would come out in Blu-Ray.
Fun stuff for the fan, thanks for posting! FYI: That's Eric Braeden getting a pie in the face, aka Victor Newman on "The Young and The Restless".
I'm just starting to watch the show and it's fab.
I watched this show when I was 10 and. I still love it
Wow - thanks for posting! I was there in the audience for many of the shows. Such great/fun memories. I saw Gavin sit Betty White on that cake! I am sure they had to edit the audience reaction as we went nuts!
I covet your memories.
I have to say I'm jealous

LOL at 4:10.... just needed a line from Betty !
At 4:10, this was the ep when Murray worked for the happy homemaker as her assistant. This was the way he quit!! Very funny!!
notgrillo collector/ gamer I wouldn't be able to keep a straight face if I saw that😂😂😂😂😂
@Sk8FreeWeb Old comment, I know... wanted to let anyone interested know that "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" can be seen on Hulu. The first 3 seasons, at least... for now.
Love this show so much. So sad they don't make 'em like this anymore.
I know what the line is that Ted forgot at 3:00: "Gee, and I always thought it was my fault the show stunk".
Betty White is the only one left. One of the best sitcoms ever.
RIP Betty White
Did these guys had fun or what?? What a great show!! R I P MTM!!
First take, something happened to the camera as it rolled off to one side. Second take, Ted was trying not to smile, but failed (I think!). Third take, Ted still couldn't fight off his smile as he barely made it on the set!
I love these blooper clips!
I love this show! The bloopers are as funny as. The show!
2:15 - I loved that crashing sound! hilarious!
boy mary was hot.
0:26 - Mary sings an excerpt from "Dance 10, Looks 3", from "A Chorus Line".
Dammit they should show re-runs of this show and other classics on major networks haha especially during the holidays and summertime
❤❤❤ Mary ❤❤❤
Ted Knight had the most fun with bloopers.
MTM was a babe!
Love this.
RIP Ed Asner 😔
sk8free you can see full episodes on Hulu or Fancast. They both have lots of old 70's and 80's classics - even new shows and movies.
I loved this show when I was a child. Pitty I can´t watch it anymore.
I love Ted's F-Bomb at 3:27

Yeah you can, just go on google and type: mary tyler moore show episodes and go to the 'hulu' link.
Thanks!
The woman that Lou dumped that dessert on her head was Beverly Garland. She recently passed away
For many years, she ran a nice hotel in Glendale that hosted the Hollywood Collector's Show.
RIP Ed Asner
"Lou Douses an Old Flame."
Ted prob F*cked up his lines the most, Betty White the least. I wonder what it must be like for the cast working alongside Mary who just happened to be their big boss too (Mary was co-producer with then hubby Grant Tinker as head production company that owned the show). !
I wish this show was shown on antenna tv or Metv Instead of some of the reruns they have. Sad none of the cast is alive today.
Is that Catherine Coulson, the Log Lady, from Twin Peaks, giving the lines at around 3:13? She did work behind the scenes on some things. The hair, the glasses, the sweater all look the same. She even holds the script the way she held the log, if that's her.
Great book.

@Sk8FreeWeb All the Seasons are on DVD, I have em all, and they're worth every penny.
3:46 I had the same map of the moon on my wall when I was a kid. lol

What episode is it where they put Betty in the cake??!! lol too funny!
the episode of the cake it's when Sue Ann (betty white) hires Murray to be the show's producer.
RIP Betty White
@Sk8FreeWeb The first three seasons are on Hulu!
i didn't' get the one where Ted walks in with the hats? i love them all they are fantastic
I loved it when the camera crashed into something.
pour Betty gets put in the cake!
I would love it if some nice person would edit together what we have of the boys singing that song. If a RUclips already exists of that I could not find it, nor indeed any reference to it by Googling lyrics, but I love it.
what were the men singing?
Believe it or not Gavin MaCleod ( Murray) played a lot of heavies before the MTM show.
Can someone please tell me what the name of the episode was when Lou poured the dessert on the woman? I can't find it in search.
I'd like a job like this.
Please, can someone upload the more episodes of MTM show? please....:)
@Bestmanme08 Different strokes.... I think those three shows are VERY different. Comparing The Golden Girls to MASH, or MTM, is like comparing potted plants and lava lamps.
