Thanks for watching. Totally right about not including that on this video. In looking back, I think I just included the very end of me folding it up around 1:50, but agree I should have showcased the whole thing. I think the folding mechanism was pretty solid, and the decrease in footprint was what one would expect. I'll be sure and include more folding footage for future bikes!
Good thorough review, Mitch. I tested the Rad Trail and Expand Plus yesterday. Both very nice. I liked the Trail better but think my wife would like the Expand +. Our SUV doesnt have a hitch so would be another $1000 plus for hitch and rack so may go with the Expand for both of us. Could you fit 2 Expand in your Subaru? Also, your thoughts on Rad Trail vs AIMA Big Sur Sport for fire trail type riding, and hill climging? Thanks.
Thanks Rob! Between the two, I think I also prefer the trail, but the portability of the Expand+ is pretty nice, especially when you're looking at investing another $1k for the hitch setup. I think you could get that down a little bit, but not much. I got my hitch last year for like $250 or so from U-haul, and the rack we actually sell the most of is called the Advantage 2 rack, and that retails for about $500. So, you're still looking at an additional $750 for the whole shebang. I am pretty sure I could easily fit 2 Rad Expand 5+s in the Subaru, but I MIGHT have to put the seats down to get them in a bit further due to the slant on the ceiling in the rear of the Sub. I don't have two to test right now, but if I get another one I'll try putting them both in there and report back.
@@robmaxwell3678 You're welcome! Yeah I actually had no idea they did, only ever rented trucks from them, but a buddy of mine suggested it and I was impressed with the price and service I got as well. That probably varies location to location, but the one I went to in Houston had their stuff together.
Thank you. I think people would have appreciated seeing the folding process as well. Skimmed through and didn’t see it.

@MicromobilityIndustries thanks for the U-Haul tip. I forgot they do hitches.
