I trained under my father and his masters as a child/teen. He passed unexpectedly and I took a long hiatus, I am a brown belt so it’s still a little painful that my father will not be promoting me himself. But if I’d be able to train in such a beautiful and traditional setting one day, I’d love to revisit my first love of goju ryu. I train currently in MMA so the transition from karate has been…interesting haha
The karate Daniel learns in the movies is actually based on the Goju-Ryu style of karate, which was founded by Chojun Miyagi. The Meibukan school you see here was founded by one of Miyagi's senior students, so to say it is the "real Miyago do" is in fact pretty true!
The karate learned from fumio demuria was shito Ryu there's similarities but it's not Okinawa goju ryu William zabbak learned tang so do Korean karate again similar but not Okinawa goju Ryu they all have different strategies concepts different goals respect all Martial Arts ok accept no touch knock outs
Very impressive katas & training.. it’s been 25 yrs since I’ve studied Goju ryu .. our Dojo burnt down & no one taught after that .. so I’ll start here . Thanks 🙏🏻
Lol, literally yesterday in a day watched season 4. Remembered I did Goju Ryu for 3 years when I was 10 years old. Saw kata I knew in trainings of Miyagi-Do, got interested, was really nicely surprised Miyagi-Do is based of Goju-Ryu.

Man, I like it👍👍. Look at the crisp, good looking uniforms. Love that dojo. To me Karate is so much more than what everyone thinks. Its also about being squared away, not just at the dojo, but in life. Very cool.
I love Karate. It is beautifully traditional and has so much to teach. The fighting techniques are effective for self defense however I don't think the techniques are effective against modern mma gladiators. That said, Lyoto and Chinzo Machida...
MMA isn't street fight, it's a sport, that said if you emphasis on learning bunkai of atleast 5 to 6 katas and do contact sparring you become well equipped for a street fight, it's good if you learn other martial arts too after black belt
it's up to the practitioner to decide how effective it is. it's true you can't take traditional karate out on the street & expect it to work. karate only teaches basics, you must develop your own style within.

I'd say any Okinawan style is very fluid when the practicioners are advanced enough. The Okinawan teaching is one of the most advanced practicioners in the world, and his students reflect very well on him.
5:02 Ohh I bet there's some super ultra secret reason he closes his eyes as he punches. Perhaps it is to protect his eyes from the blood and gut rain as his opponents chest explodes from the punch. 5:20 And why the flying fuck does a black belt need correction as if she was a beginner? Did she get her belt in bukkakke kata?
Since you think this is crap. What’s your martial arts experience? What dan are you? What style do you even do? Would you like to face one of these black belts? Don’t say this is crap until you have actual experience.
I studied at his Dojo in Okinawa for a year while I lived in Okinawa. It was an excellent experience.
That's fantastic! Is this dojo as amazing as it appears here?

Be like Bruce Lee and use effective techniques from ALL styles: Karate muay thai boxing judo BJJ wrestling and then you can be the ultimate fighter

Thank you for video. OSU!
Why did he emphasized more on sticking the hand closed to the body even while punching?
Vamos ver quais os outros que irão continuar aqui comigo nesses treinamentos kkkkk
Is there high kicks in goju ryu karate, like in taekwondo, muay thai and shotokan?
Not really. Well, nowadays, they borrowed some from other martial arts. But originally they didn't have many. Only two or three
is this series for beginners as well..please let me know

Do you do personal lessons online to US?
I am from Tamil Nadu Gojuru style
Is it true that this is the most fluid karate style?
I'd say any Okinawan style is very fluid when the practicioners are advanced enough. The Okinawan teaching is one of the most advanced practicioners in the world, and his students reflect very well on him.
sensei and sempais thumbs are all over the place when punching. why?
Simply because they really have very little clue what they are doing. But nobody has ever told them that so they have established very poor habits.

I once read in my childhood that you need to spend 3 years learning how to clench your fist. This master has never read it

the technique is more to be a slap in the face of the opponent than an actual punch if you are referring to what they are doing at 02:08
Because he has never fought in reality
Why 9 dan is wearing 6 dan belt?
It's upside down.
