DNA and RNA may have co-existed from the start, but the question is, how did the RNA and DNA building blocks work together in the very first life for the very first time? Instinct? Luck?
The building blocks of RNA and DNA are nucleotides of which they both use a set of four to build the proteins they need for everything else. Each RNA nucleotide has a DNA equivalent, only subtly different.
