6.0's don't monitor EGR flow or performance. A guy I know... Broke all the pins out of the servo to make sure there is no connection, then plugged it back in... it just needs to "appear" functional. Still running like that 3 years later, no CEL. I live in CA and hate the diesel smog nonsense but I thoroughly enjoy the challenge of making it appear stock even tho my truck is no where near stock. Just flip the switch back to stock and remove the knob. Takes 3 minutes to get my truck ready for smog. Catch me if you can 😊
I moved out of that Commie State in 85 and hate it to even visit friends and family still stuck there. In my new State I rarely say I'm from Cali. My friends and me even complain about the California people moving into our location just to escape the craziness and end up voting just as insanely as they did in Cali that caused all the problems in the first place. Can't fix stupid.
I live in central coast Ca.. Ok ok wait wait.. I have a 00 Dodge ram 5.9 24v it's all stock I'm 2nd owner, so this truck doesn't have cat,, so what should I do ?? They sell me the truck with smog of course do they cheat??. Note my truck doesn't smoke it all and starts right away doesn't matter if it's cold or warm day.. thanks 👍

The 2008-2010 6.4 powerstrokes did Not use DEF. They do have the DPF still but dont tale def. 2011 is when Ford started using DEF on the 6.7s.

if a truck has no cats from the factory does it still need to go through smog?

Those smog free diesels are going up in price.

What is the gauge to the left of your steering wheel with a black hose attached to it?
Probably coolant pressure, I now have digital gauge for that. The other gauge is fuel pressure. I now have a bullydog screen on my truck.
