Excited to see your next project! When i was in Dallas for the Dave Matthews concert I went to the biggest Saint Vincent DePaul thrift store I've ever seen!! It was so big that I was a little overwhelmed! But I found a few really beautiful items and because of you I picked fabric, which were pillow shams, that I normally wouldn't not have. Heavy upholstery fabrics. I am inspired by the beautiful bags that you make!! So I will give it a try soon! Right now I'm in recovery. Watching from bed today. Oddly enough, I had a rare type of heart attack called scad. I'm pretty young and very healthy, but emotional stress caused it. My youngest son of 35 passed away 3 weeks ago today. Then 4 days later I had the heart attack. But God is with me and he is a very good and loving God. Thank you Tracy for your sweet spirit!
Im sorry that your Son passed away. He was so young. YES stress is a killer. I've had three strokes in the past 2 1/2 years. Before that I called myself healthy. I'm trying my best to not listen to ANY negativity. I sage my house once a week and pray to keep the negative energy away. Good luck to you on your healing. ✌🏻♥️

Definite score on the cute summer dress. Thank you for showings samples of the floral clothing and how you add stabilizer to the lightweight ones. I would have passed on them before due to the weight. Can't wait for the overall tutorial 😃
Those overalls I can’t wait for. Those flowers will look awesome on the overalls. You could even use your stencils on the fabrics and trace them out. Listen to me, the one who has a hard time cutting up lace fabric😂😂😂
Not yet, I went to the goodwill yesterday and bought a lot of lace fabrics. I’m going to do it. I’m wanting to make a long bed skirt. Trying to figure out how long and how many layers. I was thinking of putting flowers on it. The once you have on your curtains. Now I just got to do it.
Love these “ how to find what you need “ at Goodwill, thrift shops… doesn’t matter size… men’s or women’s clothes, it’s all material! I’ve learned so much from you🥰
I really love that you upcycle the fabrics from thrift store finds. I also recently looked through a couple of fabric stores for large florals. Impossible to find! I did order some from "Spoonflower". Good prices, excellent fabrics. I got the regular fleece. It's so soft and dreamy to work with. It's not a polar fleece, it's thin and appliques wonderfully. I used basting spray rather than pins. My fingers are grateful. 😊🤟

I just bought some black bib overalls and I think I'm gonna do the bleach squirt bottle on em since they are 100% cotton. Thanks to you I've already finished two black cotton shirts made into masterpieces!
Traci, I can’t wait to see your coveralls with the appliqué and the dye trims, I think they’re gonna be beautiful! I love all the colors that you bought. They are right up my alley! ❤❤Judy❤❤
Love a good haul! I went to the Goodwill Bins Outlet for the first time last week, and I got a magnolia print bedspread that has huge flowers, and a bed sheet set with patterned body and the top part is roses. Can't wait to work on something with all my fun flowers. You inspire me everytime I watch!! Thanks so much for sharing with us.
Great bargains! Can't wait to see what you do with them. Would you consider doing a backpack sometime? Even though my daughters are older, they and their friends love their backpacks!
Ooooo the duster project looks amazing, looking forward to that one too. You get some great items from your thrift shops, thrifting shops in the UK are much smaller and so more difficult to find things that fit. ☹️ xxx

After I watched your pants video - which has been removed - I looked for floral fabric at those two stores and found nothing too. I ended up buying some online that is amazing. Pants in progress.....
I've been painting on fabric for years you don't need to use fabric medum to paint on fabric (have you ever been painting and accidently gotten paint on your clothes 😉lol ) what I usually do is water down the acrilic paint a bit and add some school glue. Also, I've stenciled tons of thing before on fabric and other things. the best thing I've found for applying the paint is the old-school makeup sponges the ones you can get at Walmart super cheap for like a bag of 50 for s few bucks. They give you more control over how much paint you are putting where and you can get corners and tiny places better with out the paint sneaking under the stencil.
Hi Tracy. This is off topic from your video. I upcycled a pair of jeans in the shabby Tracy style with patches and the works. But how did you finish off the insides. I feel like mine look really sloppy on the insides.🤷🏻♀️ thanks for sharing all of your knowledge. Your amazing.

i feel like i need to reevaluate the way i thrift. i never shop with a list. the result is more than one rubbermaid tote, filled with white eyelet items, that i bought to deconstruct and upcycle! and stacks upon stacks, upon stacks of fabrics i saved from the garbage of a drapery workroom. and, i cant forget ALLLLLL of the others things i've thrifted, because "one day i'm going to do something with this" fabulous fabric or trim. you need to make a trip to louisiana and help me go through it all!!

Our Dear Ms. Myers: Please do the dress/duster first! •Also, will you ever be getting a PO box do you think? I would love to be able to send you pix of some things I have been working on, and I bet others would, too! •Great haul, the dress you are wearing looks fabulous! •And when you saw the pillow case you said to yourself, " You will be mine! Oh, yes, you will be mine!" 😂🤣😅 • The dress with flowers and paisley gave me an idea for when using it for jeans patches: cut a rectangle of the surface fabric. Then cut a rectangle out of the lining fabric, 1/4 inch larger in all four sizes. Center the surface fabric rectangle on the lining fabric, then stitch. That will give you two layers of color coordinated fringe on all four sides! 😊
@@tmo.48 So, for example: (you can use any shape, but let's say a square). The dress has a lining. Cut the lining into a square 3 1/4 by 3 1/4 inches. Then cut the flower/paisley fabric into a 3 by 3 inch square. Place the lining square where you want the patch to be on your jeans. Lay the flower/paisley square directly in the center of the lining square. Secure with pins. Then top sew the flower/paisley square onto the lining square onto the jeans about 1/4 inch from the edge of the paisley/flower square. As you know, Our Dear Ms Meyers uses patches with raw edges to encourage fraying. So you will have the flower/paisley fabric with a quarter inch raw edge, and all around it you will have the lining square, color coordinated, with an additional quarter inch raw edge peeking out from behind it all the way around. Wish I could draw a picture for you! Does this help at all?

• The dress with flowers and paisley gave me an idea for when using it for jeans patches: cut a rectangle of the surface fabric. Then cut a rectangle out of the lining fabric, 1/4 inch larger in all four sizes. Center the surface fabric rectangle on the lining fabric, then stitch. That will give you two layers of color coordinated fringe on all four sides! 😊
The last part I just have to keep rereading because I ain't gittin the jist of it.
As you know, Our Dear Ms
Meyers uses patches with raw edges to encourage fraying. So you will have the flower/paisley fabric with a quarter inch raw edge, and all around it you will have the lining square, color coordinated, with an additional quarter inch raw edge peeking out from behind it all the way around. Wish I could draw a picture for you! Does this help at all?
