i love it when archetypes are based on classical literature. Noble Knights, Burning Abyss, Ancient Warriors, etc. i'd like to see an archetype based on the Twelve Labors of Hercules. have Herc himself be the central card obviously. toss in some monsters like the Nemean Lion, Hydra, and Mares of Diomedes that becomes equips for Herc when he slays them. maybe make the 12 Labor monsters similar to Kaijus when they summon themselves to your opponent's field.
An archetype with a great tale and nobility... telling the story of Great King Arthur and the Twelve Knights of the Round Table... combining their strength and bravery, they can conquer the fight, equip with noble arms...
As a person that actually plays Noble Knights; Brothers is either the combo starter (the others being Iyvanne and Medraut), or a valuable special summon target for Isolde because of the returning cards back to the deck for more future Isolde plays while getting a +1 in the hand. Brothers can also send Gwenhwyfar, Queen of Noble Arms and Glory of the Noble Knights back to the deck, as Brothers targets noble knight/arm *cards,* not noble knight monsters or noble arms equip spells (Though, because Gwen has a GY effect to attach herself to a noble knight, it's better off targeting something other than her (That's if you actually want to use her)). Brothers can also allow you to instantly go into Sacred Noble Knight of King Artorigus (the rank five) because it doesn't have a restriction on what level the Noble Knight(s) it special summons, and there's two Noble Knights that are level five without needing a Noble Arms. This is if you feel Excaliburn's GY effect is too slow, which, to be honest, really fucking is. Using Merlin's GY effect (Foolish Burial the old man; it's in the manuscript he's buried alive, anyway) or having Eachtar, Laundsallyn, and have Brothers to special out the two past mentioned monsters are quicker than Excaliburn; all Excaliburn is really useful for is the "can't be targeted by opponent card effects" for the equipped monster, and even then, it's not that useful for that either. The Noble Knight token *is* the cat. The archetype specific token has the same artwork for Iyvanne. 27:39 The scabbard doesn't heal the wearer; they just can't *bleed* while wearing it. In other words, they can still take stabs and cuts while wearing the scabbard and keep going, but if they lose or take off the scabbard before those wounds can close, they'll start actually bleeding.
Noble Knight Custennin in OCG can give player additional Normal Summon ANY monster, instead of just Noble Knight. If playing Lady of the Lake. Also it becomes optional effect while TCG is mandatory.
Noble knights was my first real duel links deck. I love it i wanna buy each of them just to own them. I think they really got me understanding how much more complex Yu-Gi-Oh has gotten over the years and depending on the cards and how they flow.
Same, same, and same! Noble knights was so fun to use in duel links, and was one of my first actual "competitive" decks. After being gone from yugioh for so long, it really showed me how far yugioh has come on the complex side. I still play noble knights to this day, but am more invested in six samurai nowadays.
There was a time I combined these with Burning Abyss, to make a sort of "Round Table Control". I called it Medieval Literature, lol. Basically use Dante and Beatrice to dump all your 1 of knights into the grave (Or Gwen/Lady, whatever you need), then take advantage of your full GY with table to churn out card advantage. It ended up being a slower helmet-y Burning Abyss deck that also had access to the kings in the extra deck, so it was cool, I suppose, haha
Hey man if I were to follow your channel I probably wouldn’t even think of watching those streams but the work you put into these archetype lore videos is so absurdly high effort that I want to watch every single one of them, and I feel like I also want to know as soon as you post a new one. What I’m saying is I think I might actually need to subscribe
Me: just make build that combines chevalier de fleur noble knights with flame and regular noble knights. The build actually works decently well, plus added a phoenix gearfield and you can actually do a lot of damage.
23:03 Or if he has more then 3, he can just have then floating all around him, style Archer or Gilgamesh of Fate Stay Night... Mean they just mentally control the swords... What's not cooler then swords that can kill you without the owner using then?
@@the24thcolossusjustchillin39 That would also be cool, like Goro with swords AKA Gilgamesh of Final fantasy... The real one, not the one that belongs to just one game calls himself Golgamesh, but isn't that loveable goof ball.
Ye the OG noble knights just got their support sprinkled to them to the point by the time they were finished they lost any chance of ever having a meta impact til Infernoble came out
It's sad that most of my circle who dont play yugioh only know the king Arthur story through Fate. I don't really care for the original knights of the round table but I absolutely adore this archetype. I have every single rarity of every single Noble Knights and Noble Arms card. I love this archetype more than Lightsworns and I LOVE lightsworns.
Honestly I love the fact that they never gave up on this Archetype. Now if only they'll make an Archetype based off of the story The Cask of Amontillado.
I love the gift box, the holoing that they invented for that gift box sucked so many eggs, but I still have the play mat from that box and I use it to this day even though I don’t even play Yu-Gi-Oh anymore, I use it for digimon instead
Man looking at how Konami of America decides to localize the names of the Arthurian knights has me thinking: Isn’t it crazy how the primary source for the lore of a legendary English king was complied by a French guy?
Arabic scholars were responsible for preserving a LOT of the Ancient Greek texts we know today. And then Europeans got access to them, followed by deciding they (Europeans) were the inheritors of the Ancient Greek legacy. A French guy compiling a bunch of English myths has nothing on that.
Honestly remembering how fun the noble arms kinda made me realize how underwhelming the Infernoble arms are in comparison, being more 'one and done' effect cards rather than actual weapons / equip cards. Which is too bad cause otherwise, the Infernoble were just as good if not better than the Noble Knights, with Emperor Charles even being a more 'proper' boss monster.
Hey Nova are you going to do a video on the new dinoruffia archetype soon? I'm just curious because I made a decklest that is actually really good. I even managed to beat sky strikers with it.
I love the idea of round table of the noble knights but there is one thing that forever makes it nigh worthless to me, the draw effect requires you to control/have in your GY EXACTLY 12! So if with new support you got 13 different names on field or in gy? Yep your not drawing a card
Obligatory:
"Eh, on second thought, let's not go to Camelot. It is a silly place."
Thank you for this

Yes
Awesome idea! And think of the mirror macths would be crazy fun
Speaking of classical literature tindangles are based on the hounds of tindalos from H.P Lovecraft
I wouldn't mind if Konami made a Hercules-themed archetype.
So, the TCG exclusive Artogus CAN include a knightly poem, but the Japanese Avram gets his life story transformed into "CHECK THIS OUT".

For those who don't know.
Artorigus - Arthur
Medraut - Mordred
Gawayn - Gawain
Drystan - Tristan
Noble Knight brothers - Gareth,Gaheris,Agravain
Gwalchavad - Galahad
Peredur - Percival
Laundsallyn - Lancelot
Bedwyr - Bedivere
Ivyanne - Igraine
Eachtar - Ector
Gwenhwyfar - Guinevere or Gwenevere
Wouldnt Borz be Galahad? He is the one with the Holy Grail after all.

A interesting fact is that Lightning uses this deck in YGO LoD: LE, and I think there's a rank 8 number monster of Lancelot which I think is cool
Yeah Tristan, Isolde (there is a main deck Isolde) and Lancelot
There is also another King Arthur XYZ
OK, Rhonghobongo bazongo equip spell when?

"We're Knights of the Round Table, we dance when e'er we're able!"
"Stop it! There'll be no singing while I'm around here!"
I hope you also explain the lore of both their stories in short.
I know a little bit about the Arthur lore but the French one I don't know at all.

love the background of the archetypes. your videos are great. i made a magical musketeer deck because of you. trying to stay pure on all my decks
25:05 That aged....poorly.
As a fan of both light attribute monsters and Arthurian lore, this is right up my alley.
I'm honestly surprised they never made a rank-up magic specifically for artorigus
Thats what Excaliburns second effect is for
@@the24thcolossusjustchillin39 Yeah exactly. And its quite easy to throw in the GY too, just use Borz effect.

The art for these cards is so pretty, what the heck!
this was a good video, made me learn and actually laughed at one of the jokes
Oh finally i'm always interested in this archetype (since it is sword based). I heard it's kinda just decent
Ye the OG noble knights just got their support sprinkled to them to the point by the time they were finished they lost any chance of ever having a meta impact til Infernoble came out
then suddenly infernoble coming like a brick slapping people face here and there for a bit then dips out when they got overcreeped again.

What, it's sad that they know it because of anime but it's *based* for you to know it through children's card game?
How do you always cover the archetypes I'm interested in looking at?
Honestly I love the fact that they never gave up on this Archetype. Now if only they'll make an Archetype based off of the story The Cask of Amontillado.

Infernoble has the better knights, but very forgetable arms.
While Noble has great weapons, but their boss monsters are lacking.
The deadpan jokes are lovely
I see Nobles I press like, thank you bro
Release restraint wave is a very good tech in this deck. Pop an equip that requips and blow up your opponents backrow 😢
I love these videos!!! Is there any way we could get a Vampires Explained?
4:33 best drystan voice
You missed a perfect opportunity for a Jason Vorhees joke with Last Chapter of the Nobel Knights.
Noble Knights, YAAAS~
My favorite Arctype to be honest
Just curious will flame noble knight be apart its archetypes analysis but hopes for a mention and how a little smoke bomb made it broke
I would assume Noble, Ignoble, and Infernoble Knights will be in this, as typically a ~43min video could contain about 30ish cards or so
From his Twitter, looks like this will only include the normal Noble knights
He did Infernoble knights around when they first came out
Sweet thanks I didn’t know he did that one also was hoping a little shout out for those
Also funny thing about the Synchro Noble knights... guess where they are all from in the world
Hey Nova are you going to do a video on the new dinoruffia archetype soon? I'm just curious because I made a decklest that is actually really good. I even managed to beat sky strikers with it.
if i get back into the tcg im playing noble knights
Excaliburn is an On-Theme Rank-Up Magic.

Level 4 normal monster emergency release by Konami. It's all but confirmed.
So funny fact Lancelot is some French guys OC dont steal he didn't appear in the "canon " of Arthurian lore till way later.
Still waiting for the six samurai archetype video.
You neglected to mention that the names are the Welsh pronunciations of the more well known Anglo-Saxon ones.
Except for Merlin and Gawayn. Not sure why those use modern names.
There has to be a good tuner for this deck.
Let us know if You find one
I would just play Veiler. So that you can sometimes make the Synchro with her.
Lady of the lake
Flame noble knights: let us introduce ourselves.
Show of comments: who else bought a Knights of the Round Table box? I still use the playmat from it.
D/D/D Explained when?
Probably never because I have been waiting for my favorite archetype. I asked 8 months and my archetype video never came.
Isolde: The Archetype
The archetype that got a skill nerfed in Duel Links. Normally it's the other way round.
I love Arthurian legends. Artoria is best girl. Fight me
I like the Flame noble knight video it is the one that made me find your channel cause i thought Flame Noble are cooler than the original NK
I can't deny it, Infernobles ARE pretty stylish!
Gearfried next
Question for you Gold why do you think some monsters turn Dark attribute when equipped? And give me a reason
It’s supposed to represent the dark descent the knights go down in the legends
Some have less than pure paths in life
king Arthur would be pound
Wtf do you mean "they"?
I hate that it's exactly 12 on roundtable instead of 12 or more. poor design for sure.
