Hmm...Loved listening to your voice as always, but Malzahar has fallen a little flat for me. Its great that we are finally getting his story, but he's been boiled back down to purely a "void corrupted seer" which is the basis for his character since his release. This isnt so much "new" lore to me, but something I truly hope is the setup to some more in depth stories.
The Watchers seem to be manipulators similar to the Burning Legion in Warcraft.
I wonder how far can his character get. I mean Kassadin basically went from "I was looking for my daughter for 10 years in the Void.... She's probably fiiiiiiine just being a bit shy...." to "MALZAHAAAAAR!!! FITE ME 1V1!!! I'LL STAB YOU TO DEATH TILL YOU DIE!!! STOP RUNNING AWAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!"...

Or would there still be a chance to fight back the void since his predictions are 'only' super accurate and not 'always right'?
Thats the thing, belief is the sole benefactor in the fight against the void. Sheep will believe that the void is unkillable and inevitable, while strong will fight against it with a will to survive, kai'sa holds key quotes to debunking malzahar. Also if you believe in the balance of light and dark yin and yang neither forces could truly ever win

It made so much more sense, that Kassadin would hate Malzahar for actually "killing" his daughter (using his magic dagger to basically throw her into the void) instead of "Ey! I heard you like the void. DIE!"
I mean. If you think about it. Kai'Sa has the quote "I forgive you, Malzahar." whenever she kills him. Bitch! HE DID NOTHING TO YOU!
Still it is nice to see Kassadin a bit more fleshed out in his time before he stepped into the void.
Well I mean he is the herald of the Void the thing that turned her into what she is and the thing she has sworn to destroy. That's something to forgive someone if I ever heard it.
Malzahar is the person who shepherds the void into Valoran, he most probably had something to do with Kai'sa. I mean that voice line itself proves that Malzahar was indeed responsible for what happened to her.

I'm slightly confused, since they change kassadin lore, and kai'sa interacts shows she doesn't know kassadin, is she really his daughter or not?
I am also curious about this. Are there any hints in the lore that suggest it? Besides the fact that kassadin lost a daughter to the void, that might be kaisa?
She says "memories of my father return at the strangest times" when you're against kassadin. So yes she is his daughter.

I like to think that Kai’sa was too young to have a complete memory of him, or slowly lost that memory over time. In any case, Kassadin doesn’t exactly look like his old self either. But in game interactions do prove that they are in fact related, they just don’t recognize each other now. (I think, don’t use this as fact.)
Also doesnt Kai´sa say something about that jinx is her sister?

how to defeat Cho'gath: call him fat and throw salt at him
how to defeat Vel'koz: call him dumb and throw salt in his eye

hmm i wonderd if brand lore is anywhere on this page, becouse i couldnt find it. can some1 help me find it, and if it isn't i would love to know it but i am bad at reading
you know if there is one thing i missed about the old lore structure its how much chance seemingly utterly unrelated characters had to interact with one another, yes i know they do cross them over with things like the burning tides story, but still.
a good example would be before they revamped everything there was a story where kass and malz fought and the summoners asigned karthus to defend "the inhibitor" (obviously not the ones from the game but thats a whole other level of theory crafting) and the power released was so extreme that karthus was actualy obliterated in the cross fire. after that karthus, who will go on about the beauty and inevitability of death all day long, was humbled and i think scared by the power of the void. while i understand there reasons for the over haul and think the new lore is better over all i do miss little things like that

It’s a compound.

The Void's description straight up contradicts what we seen in Kai'Sa's story and how the Voidborn champions are.
I'm guessing the the thing that wants to unmake the world and controls and builds those constructs are the Watchers and the Voidborn champions have nothing to do with that.

bruh there's so much missed potential in Malzahar's kit. Lkike imagine if his ult was a skillshot that yuptured the ground, sutnning enemies caught and spawning lille minions to crowd onto them. He has so much potential for cool abilities, but other than his e and maybe w, his kit is so basic.
Plus, if there was a rework, the cinimatic would be great, as it could show Malzahar's perspective as he walks towards the void with feverred visions of it destroying everything around him, and then cut to Kassadin mid teleport, killing void creatures, who then sees what Malzahar had become.

The old lore of malz sacrificing kaisa to the void and that being why kassadin wants to kill him was a lot better. New lore just feels like they were forcing in a reason for kassadin to have to hate malz.
