This is crazy. Salah is walking around just fine and talking. We see others zipping by and going on with everyday life. She said it’s early in the AM and 36 degrees which I think is like 96 in Fahrenheit. I lived in Palm Springs which is also a desert climate and it absolutely got that hot and much hotter. It took about a summer to acclimate and then you get used to it. Obviously you don’t go do outdoor activities in the middle of the day if you don’t have to, but just like here, people go out and exercise, walk their pets, etc very early in the morning and late evenings or even after night falls if you’re in a safe part of town. Life doesn’t stop. It’s hot like that half the year from May into October so you have to learn to deal with it or move. You don’t reduce your life to the inside of your apartment. Also you make the most of it during the nice half of the year. Even when it was the cooler season in Kuwait, Chantal sat inside doing the same things. It’s scary that she’s only 40 and can only walk 2-3 minutes! That’s not normal under any circumstances and it’s a huge decline. She said before that getting up and down to go out of the building takes work for her. There’s no way she’s going to do it 5-6 times per day for short walks. She’ll also have to get redressed in all that stuff she puts on to go outside each time. Not going to happen. She needs to be back in Canada until the weather cools down. It could be another 3 months, maybe slightly longer before the weather significantly cools down. She may be immobile by then if she keeps on how she’s going.

She’s so young to feel that water was too far for her to access.. it’s so unfortunate. She knows how the locals live. How they handle the heat, by getting up early or going out later. She has to know what swimwear is available to Muslim women, yet she refuses to do any of these things. I haven't been around this community as many of you, but I'm certainly over her.

This is crazy. Salah is walking around just fine and talking. We see others zipping by and going on with everyday life. She said it’s early in the AM and 36 degrees which I think is like 96 in Fahrenheit. I lived in Palm Springs which is also a desert climate and it absolutely got that hot and much hotter. It took about a summer to acclimate and then you get used to it. Obviously you don’t go do outdoor activities in the middle of the day if you don’t have to, but just like here, people go out and exercise, walk their pets, etc very early in the morning and late evenings or even after night falls if you’re in a safe part of town. Life doesn’t stop. It’s hot like that half the year from May into October so you have to learn to deal with it or move. You don’t reduce your life to the inside of your apartment. Also you make the most of it during the nice half of the year. Even when it was the cooler season in Kuwait, Chantal sat inside doing the same things. It’s scary that she’s only 40 and can only walk 2-3 minutes! That’s not normal under any circumstances and it’s a huge decline. She said before that getting up and down to go out of the building takes work for her. There’s no way she’s going to do it 5-6 times per day for short walks. She’ll also have to get redressed in all that stuff she puts on to go outside each time. Not going to happen. She needs to be back in Canada until the weather cools down. It could be another 3 months, maybe slightly longer before the weather significantly cools down. She may be immobile by then if she keeps on how she’s going.
She looks really unwell in this video… :( something about the coloration in her face and everything, and saying that “trek” to the water is too much? She’s so young to feel that water was too far for her to access.. it’s so unfortunate. I’m a big person too and I’d make myself do it JUST for that reason, to ensure I never get to a place where I have convinced myself things aren’t worth the effort.

So she could wear a flowy short sleeve shirt and also something flowy that covers her knees.. she doesn’t have to wear all these heavy layers
She needs to go back to Canada. She needs more medical help than a random clinic can offer for a tourist. Where is Smee? Smee needs to talk some sense to her adult toddler and order her to come home. Chantal has no time left to play any more games. This is serious.

I just bought some hiking sticks, maybe it would help her also?. I am planning to use them if i need to go uphill or down hill but she could use em for better posture, and less strain on her knees
